After months of consultation, the UK government has decided to scrap the boring-snoring information and communication technology (ICT) curriculum.
Damn those lessons were boring used to spend all my time on Freefungames.com Candystand.com And AbcArcade trying to minimize it as the teacher walked past to check up on our work =') ah the good old days lol Drag Racer V3 Is the best game I can remember from those days aha lol
Was all about Thing-Thing, sitting in a row with your mates all on the same game with a leader board of sorts.
Hopefully ICT teachers will be able to find other jobs. Its crazy that in a technology dependent world the Tories and Lib Dems are scrapping ICT lessons. They should have reformed the subject, get kids up to speed with programs that will be useful in business and every day life.
They're still going to teach kids IT aren't they, just in a different form?
As a software engineer, I approve of this measure to crush any future competition I may have in my career :p But seriously, too bad if it's boring, this is stuff that becomes increasingly more important to know. If there was ever a sign that students have too much power over their teachers and school system, this is it. What next? "Survey finds math is hard, so we think people shouldn't have to do it anymore." EDIT: upon closer inspection, Ive just spouted a load of reactionary nonsense. I shall leave this here as a monument to my shame.
