G4TV: Gears Of War Judgment E3 Gameplay Demo

G4TV writes: Brothers to the end--and straight into Gears of War Judgment! Epic Games' Rod Fergusson, Fred Tatasciore, Morgan Webb and Blair Herter go step by step into what this new game offers and more in this Gears of War E3 2012 gameplay demo video.

The story is too old to be commented.

Do you guys think this could be a xbox720 launch title. If the new system comes out next year.

Edit. Commented before i watched the whole video. but its still a possibility that it could get delayed.

8 disagress for a question?

How does that even make sense? pathetic kids of N4G and to answer your question very unlikely as it was announced for 360 but who knows they could port it over but the new xbox wont be out next year.

MS said a while back it was looking to push to 2014 and this statement seems reafirmed with their latest statement claiming the 360 still has 2 years of life left.

ChunkyLover532009d ago (Edited 2009d ago )

They said the Xbox 360 has 2 years left as far as support goes. No way in the world do they not release a new console beforehand. They have always stuck by the 10 year life cycle for the Xbox 360.

This will be full of screen tearing like every other entry in the franchise. Epic Games are the laziest and most incompetent Devs and their Unreal Engine sucks dick. Screen Tear Central.

zod2009d ago

You asshole..There is no screen tearing in Gears....Shut your hole coz you dunno anything abt Gears or unreal engine..You c**k sucking.... son of a whore....

Zha1tan2009d ago

What an educated reply, you are a scholar and a gentlemen sir.

StrawberryDiesel4202009d ago

go to lens of truth you delusinal fanboy piece of garbage. You're just as in denial as the entire unemployed, pre teen fanbase of XBOX 360.

GamerSciz2009d ago

The video says "Gameplay demo" yet all you see is cinematics. Granted they are probably in-engine and such but there no gameplay to be had here. So nothing really new :(

Psychonaughty2009d ago

Agreed it's very misleading, in fact I'd swear the cinematics they showed are pre-rendered.

did not even look close to what UE4 is using, definetely not next gen.

if UE4 is what struggling and new dev are going to use, just image what new and hand made Engines will be doing next gen like Watchdogs, the future of crytek, frostbite, Naughty Dog, Sony Santa monica.

if you have 20 devs use UE4, all 20 games will look identical, play identical, feel identical,

if you have another 20 devs create their own engines, you will have 20 individual games with individual looks, play, feel, and experience.

lategamer2009d ago (Edited 2009d ago )

Compare Bioshock, Mass Effect, Batman, Gears of War, Mirrors Edge, Asura's Wrath, Crimson Dragon, Fable: The Journey, Lost Odyssey, Transformers: WFC, and finally Star Wars 1313.

All these games use UE3, and they look far from identical. They all have unique "play, feel and experience"

Another thing, if all created and used there own engines, it would end up costing a lot of time and money. The reason developers like Sony (Santa Monica and Naughtydog), EA, Crytek, etc. can use there own engines is because they have the resources to create them.

modesign2009d ago

fable the journey looks like shit,

transformers didnt come out yet along with 1313,

fable the journey looks like shit, the only fun thing in that game is killing horses.

these are a small hand full that differentiated themselves from the hundreds of other generic titles that use the UE3, out of atleast 100 titles that use UE3, only a handful set themselves apart from the others, congrats,

now compare those to Uncharted, watchdogs, heavenly sword, god of war, HALO4, assasins creed, final fanstasy,

lategamer2009d ago (Edited 2009d ago )

Transformers War For Cybertron has been out for almost two years now. Go pick it up, it was great.

We've seen Star Wars at E3, it's not out yet but it looks great. It's funny you bring up Watchdogs, it's not out yet either.

And okay, Fable looks like shit. (I disagree it may play terribly but it looks good) What about the dozens of other games I posted? Gears? Bioshock? Mass Effect? Batman? Mirrors Edge? All visually distinct, all but mirrors edge were rated AAA.

I'm not sure what you have against the Unreal Engine, but there's a reason its used by so many developers.

Shadonic2009d ago

In an interveiw Epic said that this was the last gears on 360.. which means theres a possibility that there could be more and if there is it will be on the 720 hopefully next year.
