Wii U is No Wii, But It’s Going to be Fine

Post-E3 there's been a lot of backlash against the Wii U: not a good enough lineup, not powerful enough, etc. Should Nintendo be running scared? Or have they actually put themselves in a more advantageous position than ever before despite what others may say?

Nintendo brought the complaints on themselves. This console releases this year. People want to know what it is capable of. I was interested in the beginning. But now that they have played games and haven't given any real information, I've lost interest. I like a few of the things they are doing. But they give me the impression that this thing has little power. And all of these vague leaks mean nothing. Just release the damn specs.

I've seen enough. This is just Ninny being Ninny.
When have they ever taken the cutting edge approach?

It's a current gen HD console with a bit more juice and a gimmick controller. Again.

They even showed the "pro WiiU controller" before e3 stating it was for hardcore gamers. Can you believe that?

Then the PR garbage. Reggie stating last year that they have learned from the wii release and that hardcore was going to be a huge focus. But they Failed.

Only thing that can make them look good - in the eyes of the "hardcore" and media is if they follow through with "it's worth will be a surprise" is...sell it at $249.99 or lower.

I still wouldn't bother...but many would.
