geforce.com : To kick things off we visited Sony Online Entertainment’s booth to check out the eagerly anticipated Planetside 2, a free-to-play massively multiplayer online first-person shooter that sees over 1,000 players duke it out simultaneously for control of resource-generating bases. Creative Director Matt Higby gave us a quick rundown of the game and then dived straight into the tech, extolling the virtues of the game’s internally developed engine before detailing NVIDIA’s involvement with the project:
I'm sure Planetside 2 will run acceptably on mid range to high end 400 and 500 series cards with minor adjustments. The game wont play any worse if they don't have the real time cloud shadows box ticked.
It's common practice to use the best hardware available to show off games, it doesn't mean it won't be playable on lesser hardware.

Planetside 2
Crysis 3
Metro Last Light
--------- All are nVIDIA :Meant To Be Played titles, except Crysis 3 all use PhysX ...... AMD is up for a bumpy ride :S
I have got my eye on a 570 though, either in the next few months or when prices fall through the floor. I might wait even longer and see what gets sold cheap in the January sales.
EDIT:@Orpheus
Yeah I remember when Doom 3 came out and I got a 6800gt to play it, I was gobsmacked at the time. Great card, but the same could be said for the 9800 pro that I got to play Far Cry lol.
Sony shouldn't be afraid to let it's exclusives be available on PC as it's a market similar to that of the mobile devices (not casually). This way, developers are able to get more money out of their work (such as Remedy). Imagine Uncharted, KZ and Resistance at 1080p 60fps, just thinking about it makes me giddy.
As for PS2, it's shaping up to be a really awesome shooter. Persistant with more than 1000+ players online - it's definitely something I have yet to try.
I've read some of your comments, you come off as a insecure teenager. I would write you off as another pre pubescent troll, but all your comments seem to point to the idea that you actually believe your brand of nonsense.
