PSA: It seems that the PlayStation Store is down worldwide, resulting in users not being to access the digital store. It should be noted that all current downloads seem to be uninterrupted while access to PSN itself is still live with friends list. However, online gaming seems to be down for some. Other Sony services such as Music and Video Unlimited are also down.
I think it's because the playstation plus update is so good that they probably have a lot of new users.
The new users, and existing users trying to download at least 30 gigs of games each is likely overloading their servers.
I know right? Blizzard is struggling to keep the network up.
Blizzard network down, play something else.
PSN, XBL down, cant do anything.
At least you can still play your console games OFFLINE!

@reynod
Totally owned by 'tarbis' LOL
It still doesnt change the fact that all online play on console is totally dependant on one network. It goes down there is nothing you can do online on the console.
@tarbis
You can play PC games offline too. Stop kidding yourself.
In general the point is consoles are so dependant on their manufacturer, there should actually be a demand for more freedom. It actually means at any point should they wish they can just kill the network. Imagine PS4 comes out or Xbox 720 comes out. Just because they want you to move on, they could kill the service and force you to get the next console (that is if you want to play online).
Check out the Xbox 1 service is it still online? no it isnt. Are PC games from Xbox 1 era still able to play online? yes they are.
Imo people have bought thousands usd worth of games this gen, they should atleast have some control over the situation. Currently the switch is with the console maker they can plug off the whole network at will. I dont see why people are getting so defensive about it, even though its something not in the gamers favor, its in the console makers favor.
Us console gamers don't rely heavily with online gaming and also keep in mind, we just started gaming online at full throttle THIS GEN, so it doesn't really effect me at all weather or not I can play online cause I always have and always will enjoy the single campaigns more than the multiplayer portion;-)
maybe if i sign out i wont be able to sign back in lol
better not try it...
I;m going to try logging in from in-game. The game has a built in logger. Which may help.
i figured its just some kind of update, because i got that early in the week also.
Also the 'password invalid, change password prompt', never happened to me during other maintenance post PSN hack. So, this is weird.
Hackers retaliation for a successful Sony E3 conference? I mean, im not saying the PSN is hacked, but maybe Sony is fighting off intrusion attempts? But this is all speculation and im entitled to it lol.
I reckon everyone suddenly downloading 30+GB of free games off PS Plus caused a meltdown =P least I can say I contributed my part to that XD
So not as much as it seems.
Ok, I looked it up... it's kind of a pain in the butt to do and it's not guaranteed to work or to not screw up your OS..
I've got a samsung epic 4g d700 with sprint..
I think the only way to get into mp matches is to connect thru a router and/or a modem..
On another note, I just ordered a 500gb hdd for my ps3 so I can download all the ps plus games I want... 120gb just doesn't cut it..
am watching Euro 2012. it's like whatever to me
don't you pay a subscription for them games.
But the blog ks up so it may not be a hack
I wanted to join PS+ to get the games oh well.

EDIT: Btw. I would never switch my PS3 for anything else so I stay loyal through good AND bad times.. See you online soon again..
