Confirmed Games for the Wii U

Nintendo’s Wii U will be launching this holiday season. But a console is nothing without it’s games.

Some of the games that will be coming out on the Wii U are multi-platform titles. However, Nintendo promises that the experience will be different.

For example, Assassins Creed 3, which will be released on the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii U will allow the players to keep the map open on the screen on the controller of the Wii U, whereas Xbox 360 and PS3 players will have to open the map manually each time.

Similarly, Batman: Arkham City will also be releasing on the Wii U. It will allow you to view and use Batman’s gadgets directly from the screen on the controller.

I personally think Wii needs this to surrive in the major market

but this doesnt benifit anyone except for those who are nintendo extremist. we can play those games on the consoles we already own. Why would i buy a wii-u to play batman?

Nintendo needs exclusives beyond mario and zelda

StanSmith2011d ago

You don't buy a Wii-U to play Batman. You buy it to play Nintendo Exclusives such as Mario, Donkey Kong etc.

Just like you buy a PS3 or 360 to play their exclusives. Why would you buy a Wii-U just to play batman?

Nintendo is doing fine with it's exclusives. You act like it's only Nintendo using the same franchises again and again, when really it is happening across the whole industry.

I mean, how many Uncharted, Gears of War, Halo, Forza, Resistance and Ratchet and Clank games have we had this gen? Then multiplatform wise, we have had Dead Space, Need for Speed, Call of Duty and Battlefield milked beyond belief.

Give the WiiU a damn chance before writing it off this early. In a couple of years from now, there will be more new i.p's.

i don't think you understand.

Nintendo hasn't really made any good new IP's in a long time. and i mean good ip's like what zelda and mario were.

pikmin is ok but its from the gamecube era, wii sports is nintendos newest IP and they dont try to make anything else. they make such a small amount of new IP's that people start getting tired of mario.

yes sony has made 3 uncharteds over the course of 6 years, but every year we still get a new Ip or 2. example this year is last of us and Beyond 2 souls. We are always getting a bunch of games.

so with common sense it makes sense to play the console with the most games.

Im going to say im sick of mario, yep sick of him. Zelda is always fun but it barely changes and its not reason enough to buy a wii-u.

Give me one reason why anyone should buy a wii-u in its first year jugding from nintendos e3 this year?

there isnt any except for hardcore nintendo fans and people who want to try that controller.

as for core gamers it doesnt matter.

and yes im going from a core gamer perspective because i dont care what makes any company money, i care what makes me happy. the wii this gen made tons of money and was my worst purchase of the year so in my book its a fail. i felt the same way with the n64, the and the GC. the wii-u isn't proving to be any different.

all the consoles had great games, just not enough of them.

No one is going to want to spend 400$ on a console to play HD mario, he should have been HD when i got the Wii 5 years ago.

StanSmith2011d ago (Edited 2011d ago )

So where do i fall within your generalisation of the "core" gamer?

You see, I own all three. Admittingly, I use my PS3 & 360 more than my Wii, but I still enjoy what Nintendo brings to the table.

I'm planning on getting the WiiU on day one. The list of games on launch are your typical, well for lack of a better word, launch. The PS3 & 360 had ports and old games with 2 or 3 New IPs at launch, and so does the WiiU. It's nothing unheard of and it will happen upon PS4 and Nextbox's releases too.

At the end of the day, I don't work for Nintendo's PR Team. I don't have to sell you the console and I'm not here to convince you to otherwise buy it on release.
