David Cage has revealed that Beyond: Two Souls will feature a “more standard control system” than Heavy Rain for both of its central characters, and that the game will always leave control in the player’s hands, rather than shifting to cut-scenes.
Yes, looks better and better the more read up on it (and videos).
I can't wait. I really enjoyed Heavy Rain.
I've played HR multiple times. Twice for myself. Then my wife saw it and asked me to start from the beginning (actually jumped back to the taxidermist DLC) and she had bowls of popcorn for over a week so she could watch.
They should bring it to pc or im turning ignorant
I wouldn't use the harsh word "ignorant", but a little unaware that PlayStation 3 exclusives don't generally end up on PC.
Alrighty then, I'm just about sold on this game. XD Can't wait to see more.
i liked the cut scenes :(
So everything just connects to each other? No cutscenes that that halt the action at all? You are always in control of what is happening? Interesting. I like the sound of that.
This is awesome news...I tolerated Heavy Rains control system purely because the Story was so good, and the visuals were incredible considering the current limitations of today's consoles. How Q.D. optimized it all into just 256Meg of ram was an achievement in itself. However, although I'm indifferent toward cut scenes, I can't wait to play this come launch day and control the characters in a more conventional way. Now hurry up and release this game...it could have been an absolutely stonker if release window was Nov 30th 2012...system seller even!
lol, i think you meant to write 512mb
No, I think I meant 256Meg as in video ram, the other 256Meg, I believe is system ram. I should have clarified better. I still think PS3 games look amazing considering the (256Meg Video Ram) limitations. 360 has a unified ram delivery so developers can choose how much they apply to graphics, physics and A.I. etc ....PS3 is split Ram. Jeez, I hate waiting for cool games!!! tick, tick tock! :)
I believe DC said there would be "limited" cutscenes. Probably to extend the plot, but everything else is real-time gameplay.
