LittleBigPlanet Karting could be as addictive as Mario Kart. Steven and Don know what you're thinking: That's a ridiculously bold statement, right? Mario Kart is the undisputed king of kart racers with iconic tracks, great characters and genre-defining mechanics. We don't dispute that, but LBP Karting is all set up to propel the karting genre to a whole new level.

Hell yeah it looks amazing! Being able to customize tracks, carts, and characters in all sorts of ways. If it's as intense in customization as LBP is, there's no doubt it's going to be a wonderful game. If the racing mechanics are as great as Mario Kart, well then this might just come out as king for kart racers.

Yeah, some of the people who make levels on LBP2 are insane... I don't even have the faintest idea how they could come up with such complex things.

ModNation Racers is much more addictive for me than Mario Kart and LBP is kind of a sequel to it and it is a new game everyday due to the creating sharing part ! Mario Kart is good but it's the same tracks everytime and also same annoying musics. In MNR and LBR Karting we can listen to the music from the DD.

The best Mario Kart ever for me is Double Dash on GC and i think Nintendo could never match its quality with the following sequels.

I wouldn't call it a sequel to MNR. The gameplay itself seems a whole lot different. Driving seems less stiff in LBPK. Also I'll bet the majority of LBPK isn't simply racing. You've got battles, mini games, what look like boss battles and other stuff on top of classic kart racing. They're describing it as an "adventure" as opposed to a racing game. That's what intrigues me. In all honesty, I didn't enjoy MNR that much.

I talk about a sequel because the game is made by the same guys from UFG so there will be some similarities for sure :)
I love MNR, one of the funniest games i have played and the online is great with people still playing it today.

For example: Jak and Daxter is not a sequel to Crash Bandicoot, even though they share some similarities and are made by the same studio.

This game has LBP written all over it.

People keep screaming that Little Big Planet Karting is a carbon copy of Mario Kart 7 but it adds enough to the genre to be its own unique game. If theres one thing that i am sure about this game is that Little Big Planet Karting will offer a lot more replay-ability than Mario Kart 7 due to the games Play, Create, Share mentality.

I haven't played Mario Kart in years. Once I'd unlocked everything there was no point, it's just too easy so it gets dull since there is no new content and no challenge. Unless you play online, with all the rampant cheating that just got annoying.

Yes your right...but why should it matter if it IS a rip-off?

The ONLY reason Dante's Inferno got made was that God of War was never coming to Xbox. It was still an enjoyable game.

But yeah the customisation alone will lift it to a much higher echelon than Mario Kart.

Diddy Kong Racing is champ for me.
Then Mario Kart and Crash Team Racing.
ModNation Racers was fantastic but just not addictive for me.
I could see this one going for the gold!
