I really don't think it's about hypocrisy, It's simply that a time limit that is almost always counting down can make the player feel pressured, and deprive them of what they want to do in a game. For me, I never felt like I could truly explore in any of the games in the Arland sub-trilogy due to the time limit, and this was a huge detractor from the overall experience.

Break the locks.

I still haven't finished Rorona, and have yet to pick up Totori. At the rate I'm going, it'll be next year before I can have all three, let alone all three completed.

Still, I'm glad to see it's as good as I hoped.
