Specialist retailer GAME has listed Star Wars 1313 as being due for release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, despite reports that the game could be a next-gen title.
I'm getting it on PC, looks fantastic. http://www.gamersyde.com/st... Small part. can't wait.
yeah I after what I have seen I could never play the console version without crying. Same goes for watch dogs.
This game looks like it might be pretty good, but I'm still waiting for a new star wars battlefront game...
Placeholder dates/platforms from retailers shouldn't be news at this point. From what we've seen, that level of fidelity is not possible on either PS3 or 360; heck, it's only possible on a high-end PC, and even then I doubt we'd see a commercial release of a title like that until GTX 680 equivalent GPUs are in the mid-range of power due to scalability concerns.
Why does everybody think that was console footage? It was running on PC.
This as well as Watch Dogs and Square Enix's tech demo were each probably running on some insane computer like quad or tri SLI 680s. Hell, even a single 680 or 7970 can't hold 60fps on 64 player BF3 matches or even 60 fps constant in Serious Sam 3 completely maxed out and still, to this day, NO single GPU can run Crysis 1 completely maxed out at 60fps constant. I have a 7970 with an AMD Phenom ii x4 955 @ 3.5ghz & 8GB DDR 3 @ 1333mhz and I fear it's not going to be enough to run graphics like this at 1080p/40-60fps. It's like 2007 all over again with the release of Crysis 1, where virtually no one could max it out.
My single gtx 680 runs crysis 1 on all-ultra with mods at around 74 fps
i dont think current consoles can handle same graphic settings shown. def with down graphic details they would. It is highly possible this and watchdogs make their way to nex gen consoles
they already announced it as ps3/360. get over it.
Having this, Watch Dogs, Unreal Engine 4s demo game, Squares demo game, would make for a good next gen launch titles, pray.
It looked like console footage to me. Not sure why everyone thinks it was running on some beast of a rig.
One of the developers stated it was running on a high end pc
Am I the only one that wasn't blown away by this game? It looked like The Force Unleashed but with a bounty hunter instead of a Jedi. Obviously it looked better with a super high end PC, I just don't see it adding much to current consoles.
You're not the only one. This type of game has been done to death, only now it's a Star Wars game. Of course, I'm not a fan of Star Wars so that might have something to do with it. As a gamer, the game looks average...
@JsonHenry Console footage? HaHaHa ur blind.
No, the controls being used were obviously a gamepad and the textures were not very high quality either. The attention to world detail and lighting are just really good in 1313. Kinda like like Uncharted 2/3. It gives the game a much better "look" because it isn't just four flat walls and a few console panels.
it looked like what pc games can look like now. Ive run graphics similar to that on my 460 with ease.
Looks good, but like people have said above, it looks just like uncharted but in the star wars universe. Will wait for further details before giving judgement. regarding Graphics, I think we are starting to come to a point in this generation where certain graphical effects can be used to create a more impressive look. For me, this trailer shows good use of lighting, and attention has been given to the flame effects and such. character models look similar to uncharted. If this was a nughty dog game I don't think as many people would have questioned how it looks.
This definitely seems like a next gen game. In fact, it seems that all of this years game showcases are for next gen. PC should have no problem running this but I don't know about current gen consoles.
