The Last Of Us and Beyond: Two Souls totally stole the show during Sony's relatively solid E3 presentation.
These games alone really make me want to purchase a PS3.
My cousin said that he was gonna finally get a PS3 after seeing The Last of Us. Took this long for him to finally come around huh?
Good decision. The exclusives are excellent.
why so long? lol
u watch the last of us footage carefully.ull notice how much detail went into this game.wen joel takes cover against a walldrobe the clothes hangers move about, wen joel gets smashed in the face and is strangled watch hes nose bleed and drip down hes cheek. simply epic. and not to mention the best gaming scenario in the history of e3 was "hey asshole" brick to the faaaaaace.. Crowd goes wild... that alone should of made ur cousin want a ps3. ;P
Yes. Superexcited about Beyond and the last of us. Literally can't wait. Hurry up Quantic dream and naughty dog!
No love for wonderbook ? Just kidding, but true to the article's title, that really stole the show. Stole it from being entertaining. Anyways, yea i'm so excited for The Last of US and Beyond, i never wished there was a time travel button as i do right now. That AI in Last of Us, that freaking AI was smarter than most people in the real world. Impressive Naughty Dog, you keep on stunning us game after another.
I wasn't interested in Heavy rain at all, but Beyond has me extremely interested. The Last of us is my most anticipated game for the holiday season, followed by Far Cry 3. I've never bothered to get into the assassins Creed series, but AC3 looks fantastic too.
Accension looked good aswell in 60fps.
the elephant brain...yeah! ;)
There's a joke about an elephant never forgetting in there somewhere. ;) Beyond was a great surprise. I really want to see more of this. Yet, at the same time, I'm going on a media blackout with Beyond. I'm so intrigued by it that I want to discover the mystery of every aspect as I play.
It isn't just winning E3. Finally games are appearing that seem to be evolving the video game genre. Watch Dogs included. The future looks good with bioshock infinite, dishonored, AC3, beyond, last of us and watch dogs. That's 4 new IPs, 5 if u include infinite & AC3 looks to b a genuine move forward. Halo 4 and GoW:A also looked solid for IPs that were questionable. I won't go as far as to mention BO2, but at least it appears to have moved ever so slightly forward. People may be growing antsy for new consoles but they would b irrelevant if there were no signs of new life being breathed into a stagnant industry. Next year, on the backs of these games will b a perfect time to announce next Gen gaming. Most were disappointed by E3 whereas I am uplifted and left very optimistic for the future. Well, for the future of Sony atleast. JK, I am sure Microsoft will follow suit, if only because they are forced to.
Unfortunately, I watched the conference on g4 and the last of us was just a long bleep sequence. Was there really that much cursing or did their bleep button malfunction?
I think the two enemies in TLOU is represented by Nintendo & Microsoft. The old guy being Ninty & the Military guy being M$. What a way to end their show! Its like they are saying "Hey look Ninty & M$ get a load of our games...in your face!" I can feel the spirit of tension even if I am watching the event in a 4.2" screen. I have found my new Batman and Robin game in TLOU. Rocksteady & WB Games should take note. No one could have supported this concept any better than Cliffy B of Epic Games. "When you look at action and horror the two are really, really hard to pull off, because in one scenario you're Rambo, and you're killing tons of things, and in the other one you're the scared little girl. "And I think the proper way to do that -- if I were to work on an RE game, hypothetically -- would be to alternate between those moments. Maybe do an RE game where there's two kinds of characters -- you know, you've got a Leon-type guy, and then mix in a scared little girl, and so you alternate between the empowerment and the fear. We had a little bit of that, actually in Gears 1, right?" As a game developer Naughty Dog seems to have grasped the core gamer's sense of empowerment & fear when approaching a mature game. And the demo is just a small part of it. We have not seen the fungus clickers & the grand scale of a game ND is known for. This game is shaping up to be a "mind blowing game."
Beyond looks amazing, Sony took a risk showing it early in the show but it did pay off :P cause then the Last Of Us demo was...WOW
These two and GOWA make a very strong showing for Sony. 2013 will go down as one of the best years in gaming...for sure...
