OS - I [Steve Noah] recently got the chance to see NBA Live 13 in action and while the results weren't the greatest to be sure, there were some helpful tidbits of information you could gather from my initial viewing.
EA was so scared of 2K13 they previewed Live 13 behind closed doors
i cant wait for new info on live 13 im sick of 2k its turning into poop
Sports games only get better when they have Competition...
Don't know why some people are excited about live 13. When has an EA basketball game ever been a sim? Never
I think the trend will continue. NBA fans will continue to buy 2k games, while casual basketball fans will continue to buy Live
2k is not that great anymore I only played My player in 2k12 this year because... CPU run through you when defended and the shot clock is running down Centers running faster than point guards on fastbreaks Computer CPU players are better than your cpu Players always The cpu blocks 99.9% of all my layups PG's blocking centers from the front Horrible servers its time for something new
the only problem is there is a crap ton of casual fans. Before EA decided to bail out they were still selling good if not better then 2k series, despite nba 2k being the critics choice. I really dont believe they cared about their integrity by not releasing the game...I think they just messed up and it wasnt ready in time. Remember this is EA we are talking about, they dont usually throw away the chance to make money just because a game is mediocre. Regardless Im still prefer the 2k series, but glad to have competition back. AFAIK live always had a solid online experience so maybe that will help put pressure back on 2k to fix theirs because it really is frustrating to get disconnected after finishing a couple of quarters.
