The Game Fanatics were live at Nintendo's presser, and have our thoughts and opinions on the event to share with you guys.
Nintendo had the most to prove and they failed
Out of the 3 (Sony, Nintendo, MS), Sony is the winner. Overall, Ubisoft is the winner (I can't believe I said it). My personal ranking: 1- Ubisoft 2- Sony 3- Nintendo 4- EA 5- Microsoft
I disagree with that, Sony only showed Last Of Us, PlayStation All Stars, and GoW. No real new titles for Vita just ports like Assassin's and crossplay with PAS. One new Ip Beyond which looks great. No Sly, rumored Infamous no Last gurdian, Angent Gurrella games no show. MS showed many different games to Kinect to core and XBL. No I do not want to make the list its way too much.
You didn't really watch Sony's E3 conference did you? Assassin's Creed is an NEW game and original PS VIta title. NOT a port. Do you not know what a port is? And we've already seen the new Sly game. Hisiru is correct.
I agree. The conference was absolutely fail. Out of the big 3 Sony won, out of them all, Ubisoft won.
And this is coming from a hardcore Nintendo fan. @Below - It really does bro lol. GOD that disappointing.
it hurts Shok
I blame Iwata. Stop trying to make me spend time with my family!
@mr_mike, you sir deserve a golf clap.
I was disappointed with what I saw, I was really looking forward to this conference :(.
Nintendo conference was bad for company releasing new hardware...
Again it was a fun E3. I laughed and got some giggles in. Nintendo is real fun and innocent company they showed us hardcore players its ok to laugh every once in a while let loose, relax and enjoy yourself.
What are you on...can i have some!
The only surprises were awful. Besides Pikmin, the best games were the 3DS games that shouldn't have been shown today anyway. None of the exciting rumours came true. Would have been a great conference if instead of Batman, Lego, Just Dance, the SingStar game and Nintendo Land, they devoted more time to 3DS (rather than holding a separate event) and saved their pre E3 information in regards to controllers and Miiverse for today. Edit: *would have been a better conference
Nintendo should really understand why their E3 2010 conference got such praise amongst a lot of people. They had the games. Cut out the BS. And had the surprises also that we the fans were interested in This? What was this. Third party games, almost all of them already released which we know about, surprises that dont matter. And first party titles that outside of Pikmin, dont look that great. This felt like they mixed elements of the 2008 conference and the 2009 conference lol. Few games that look promising, but thats it. Everything mostly forgettable.
Yeah 2010 was great for Nintendo, it was great for Sony too. Reason? They both had big focus on games, games, and more games.
Honestly this showed quite a bit more on there website if they had showed that instead of what they did show it would've been fine. there were like 3 or 4 games they didn't show (game and wario p-100 and several 3ds games like fe and ac) they showed alot more footage as well on the offical site so it baffles me why didn't they show it today? and apparently more 3ds stuff is tommorow...
What was nintendo thinking with this press conference? It was so underwhelming, it felt like they held things back on purpose. Case in point, at the last minute Reggie brought the game "Project P100" for Spike TV and Game Trailers. Why wouldn't they announce a game like this during the press conference. Even the fact that Iwata did the whole Nintendo Direct on sunday and yet Reggie went over everything once again during the conference. Which just felt like they originally had stuff filling those spots but used the talk as filler instead... Crazy really!
I think it just goes to show how irrelevant e3 is becoming. Look at MS and Sony just because we didn't see much from them game wise doesn't mean games aren't coming. THe same applies for nintendo. I feel like companies are more interested in reaching the press with their ideas, and tech for the casual audience rather than the games these days.It seems the internet could be partially to blame as well since we pretty much already knew most of what was to come and the fact that we know NIntendo has major first party games in development yet didn't show them is also the cause of much of the disappointment. But I think that before the end of the year we will have some big news in terms of wii U games bigger then anything we saw here.
Sony ended with a shotgun headshot... :O Microsoft had COD:BO... :) Nintendo had a virtual fireworks display....yeah :(
