E3 2012: PlayStation Conference Winners and Losers

Last night, the PlayStation press conference dominated E3 headlines, but with all that going on -- The Last of Us, Quantic Dream's new game, a crazy book game -- it's understandable if some of the big hits or major misses slipped by you. That's why we're here. IGN's PlayStation Team is about to break down the winners and the losers of the PlayStation press conference.

The story is too old to be commented.

MS had more to show games wise for the 1000'th time that I've posted, MS did better than Sony. Cut out the Kinect + Nike and MS had really solid showing.

MS has a ton of XBL games, PlayStation didn't announce any. allot of Kinect/Integrated experiences, No Move titles beyond Wonder Book. and great Exclusive line up, The entire Line up is: Halo 4, Forza Horizon, Gears Of War, Steel batallion, Ascend, and "Dark".

No one watching E3 gives a shit about Kinect or Move. The difference is Sony seems to understand that a little better than Microsoft. Granted, Kinect is very successful, but no one watching that E3 conference was impressed by the Kinect stuff.

That's fine, "nobody likes" Kinect. But its fact that MS has more gaming experiences than Sony. "20 new game Experiences." seems to belong to MS this time.

Beyond: Two Souls... that is all.

I agree with you. I don't see any reason to own a move unless you want to use it in place of a regular controller on a few select games. Halo 4 and the last of us are the 2 best games from e3. Ms had usher and sony had the book game so I think that makes them pretty much even e3 wise

Microsoft, as well as Usher also had other Kinect, casual and non-gaming related stuff including sports streaming. In fact, most of their conference consisted of this stuff.

The only casual stuff Sony mentioned was the Wonderbook, as far as I remember and that was still too long to spend on it. Sony was all about games. Even the service announcements were about games. I think they are more clued to what gamers care for, although no Vita announcements was a TERRIBLE move on their part.

I think Microsoft are also very clued about what their audience cares for which is the same 4 franchises, Call of Duty and the other garbage. That company takes no leaps at all. I can't believe they have the audacity to say "Only the best games are on Xbox". That made me cringe, it really did. I expect a big change for next-gen.

No. God of War: Ascension? Easily the best game on E3.

Losers - Harry Potter book thing

Winners - Everything else

TheFallenAngel2265d ago

Seriously that book thing was so boring and took a while. What was Sony thinking.
