Its offers a great value...assuming your interested in all these games. I played through Infamous 2 and Saints Row 2 last year. Both great games, but I don't give a crap about LBP 2. And I've had extensive time with JC2, cool concept, but the game is unpolished/repetitive as hell. The point is, Sony's BIGGEST fans, people who probably already own all these games are benefiting the least from these top tier games. Value is useless if ur given items that you don't want. Its like winning a lifetime supply of peanuts...but ur allergic to peanuts. Great value, but its useless.

Playstation plus is a yearly subscription that works out to $4.17 a month if you pay for the entire year.
I have some of the games on the list already. For me I'm interested in Little Big Planet 2, Warhammer 40,000, Saints Row 2, and Ratchet and Clank.
I'm not interested in Virtua Fighter (don't care for fighting games), inFAMOUS 2 (own it), Just Cause 2 (own it), Lara Croft (own it), Hard Corp: Uprising (never heard of it), Choplifter HD (never heard of it), Zombie Apocalyspse (never heard of it), and Sideway NT (never heard of it).
It's possible that the games I've never heard of could be fun. Since they're included why wouldn't someone who is subscribed try them out?
If I add up the cost of the games that I'm interested in the yearly subscription is worth it just from this one update.

This is a good thing for gaming. Something like this comes with many perks. Like introducing new people to franchises they over looked due to other games releasing along side them, bringing people to the online parts of those games that are most likely dead by now and it increase the chances of getting sequels to those games due to more people liking them.

I've got 130 or so PS3 games. Around 40 or so PSN games, including ones I've gotten from PS+. And even I can find something I like here. For me, it's Warhammer and Zombie Apocalypse.
You know how much the average game goes for, don't you? Even if you buy games as dirt cheap as they get at $10-$15 like I do, it only takes three or four retail games you end up liking to get your value's worth for an entire year.
I'm guessing most people aren't as frugal as I am, so if you buy games for around $20 or $30, and you find just two or three games that you end up liking, you've gotten your money's worth.
There's twelve games here. If the US PS+ sees at least three games a month replaced like the EU version, that's an additional 36 games over the course of the year. Factor in discounts and all the other goodies, and if you can't find $50 worth of value over the course of a year, you're either in the wrong hobby, or you're buying way too many games.

Tell me about it. I just bought PS+ before the EU store updates with this months PS+ content to take advantage of last months free PS Plus games and after Downloading the original Max Payne my hard drives full lol. If a PS2 game is 4.5 GBs then how much will some of these blu ray games be.
I have no interest in these games because I've already played them but the talk last night got me interested in subscribing. Shame the stream rumour wasn't true.
Thats my concern too, if you have PS+ there is a high probability you regularly play PS3, in which case you already own or played through these games.
Still, all of these games for free? No complaints, if you have played them then sure you dont gain anything but you certainly dont loose anything either so there really is no argument.
Of the 10 games coming to the EU this month, I only own 3 of them and I regularly play PS3 and these sort of, shall we say, mid-reviewed games like Warhammer 40k Space Marine and Motorstorm Apocalypse are games I would like to see on the service. The AAA games, like the ones I already own, I would still buy.
I still think PS+ will benefit some more than others and, at least, this way it's easier to play ahead for the content.
The question isn't really what they are giving away now...it's whether or not this will continue? There are so many games that I pass on because of conflicts with other games. This deal is perfect for that. Warhammer and VF 5 won't be bad for free.

You and I are both in the same boat. I am through and through gamer, but college and soon to be graduate school prevents me from playing my huge back catalogue. I miss RPGs, but I never have enough time to finish one in reasonable amount of time anymore. I find myself playing a lot of the shorter games out there now.

i can only free 16 gigs off my 120. How hard is it to upgrade the hdd? Is there something cheap and easy i can plug into the ps3 for more space. I wish it was as easy as the 360s hard drive to remove.
just look up a youtube video. You have to remove one clip and one screw.
You should make a copy of your existing HD onto an external HD. Then upgrade your HD and restore the information onto the new drive.
There are TONS of how to's and step by steps on the net. The HD upgrade is better on the PS3 because you can use almost any 2.5" HD and upgrade it as large as you can afford.
Thank god I upgraded my hard drive. I'm downloading all 12 just because they're there. Even though I've played or owned half of them. This is just too good!!!
Come on guys, its not that special. 3/4 of the games people have already played or are just not worth playing. I mean, who cares about Just Cause 2; Saint Row 2; Warhammer 40k; Oddworld etc all these sound like shovel ware, that I cant be bothered playing right now. I would have subscribed if games like God of War collection; dark souls; ratchet and clank trilogy; for example were on the menu.
You just cant make everyone happy. If you subscribe for a year your not only getting those games. Theirs a very good chance that at some point within the year, your gonna see something that peaks your interest. These games are just to entice new subscribers. I would also have to disagree with you, those games are not shovelware.

Saints row 2 is awesome and it really makes the saints look like they sold out in saints row 3 :(.. oh tips take out suns of sanmedi first before the other gangs only because imo they where sub-par compaired to the other gangs, I like to save The Ronin for last because those missions own.
