It has finally happened. The Rifftrax crew (The geniuses behind Mystery Science Theater 3000 in it's later years) have begun doing riffs on video games, both old and new. A short teaser showing off a few of the games they'll be riffing on was posted to youtube just a short time ago. A bit ahead of an E3 reveal, but who's complaining? Some of the first games being riffed are Metal Gear Solid 4, Mega Man, Final Fantasy X with it's infamous laughing scene and more.
The PlayStation 3 may not have been the strongest generation for Sony, but there were still some diamonds in the rough that deserve a revisit as PS5 remasters.
Even if they could just remaster and put on PSVR2, some would still look great as VR titles and could do a whole lot to bolster the headset w these exclusives! I'd imagine the investment of reworking these titles into VR would be way less than building new games from the ground up, and they could be amazing experiences, and VR often makes flat games feel fresh again. The Resistance and Killzone games are particularly what I want to see!!
The time is perfect for a resistance fall of man game campaign coop multiplayer
Resistance was ok but Warhawk and Starhawk was better and kept me coming back for almost a decade of fun and petty revenge on the loud mouth unskilled players 🤣
Edit I loved capture the flag dropping the pot on the flag carrier was extremely satisfying as well as transforming your plane in bot form and stumping them to death 😱
Cultured Vultures: If you’ve got some feelings you want to dredge up all over again, or if spending more than 15 minutes on Twitter has caused you to become completely numb, these are the saddest video game moments that we will never forget.
Kingdom hearts was really sad at the end. The darkness when Jenny dies was shocking and sad
Mine have to be last of us, Joel's daughter. Maybe it hits different when you have kids vs bot. I'll throw ff7 up there to. On the verge of looking like some sort of love triangle then bam, death
I think Dom's wife's death in Gears 2 was sadder then Dom. Dom's death in Gears 3 just felt rushed.
The popular Sega franchise, Sonic the Hedgehog, has been really successful in recent years, forging paths for the recent upcoming titles.
WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
:,D This is such good news! I just bought some more MST3K this week. That stuff is NOT cheap!

Just to clarify, these guys have always been writers for MST3K. Two of them have always been stars of the show, as Crow and Servo. Mike just took over after Joel left, but he was always a writer.
