Experience the 2012 E3 Show Live in PlayStation Home

+ Posted by Matthew Harper // Sr. Manager, PlayStation Digital Platforms -

It’s that time of the year: Next week, hordes of gamers will descend upon the Los Angeles Convention Center for the 2012 E3 Expo, and if you don’t have your plane tickets booked, hotel room reserved, and show passes in-hand, chances are you are half a pint of ice cream deep into a deep, dark depression, resigned to a fate where you will once again be left scouring sites for a glance into the biggest games event in North America.

Hopefully it actually works this time.

Tony-A2384d ago (Edited 2384d ago )

Seriously! I've tried it for the past two or three E3s and something always goes wrong.

I'm gonna watch it from the XMB this year. It would be nice to go to the Theater in Home and actually have it working this year, though. It's actually kinda cool to be sitting in a theater full of other gamers watching the conference.

StanSmith2384d ago

Same here. Think I'll stick with the trusty old laptop this year.

cstyle2384d ago (Edited 2384d ago )

People actually use Home...lol

Persistantthug2384d ago

You can pretty much never go into Home and find it empty.

MEsoJD2384d ago

I like home. I play poker on it all the time.

jon12342384d ago

pffft... "lol" i bet you werent even laughing out loud...

MysticStrummer2384d ago

The majority of console games don't have as many users as Home. : )

Home pretty much sucks dude. Sony should go ahead and can it.

Zefros2384d ago

I would agree with you if home was empty, but it isn't there are so many people there it's shocking.

Emilio_Estevez2384d ago (Edited 2384d ago )

They should can something that's free and they've always said makes them money? Not mention they've supported it with weekly updates for years...Sounds like a sold plan /s

MysticStrummer2384d ago

Many people use Home, and Sony makes a lot of money with it, so to can it would be incredibly stupid.

wwm0nkey2384d ago (Edited 2384d ago )

I think even Sony fans can admit while Home is an awesome idea it is pretty flawed. Wouldn't say its horrible though.

GribbleGrunger2384d ago (Edited 2384d ago )

perhaps you'd like to personally write the 20 million letters to the people who use it regularly, apologising for how crap it is

wwm0nkey2384d ago

Like I said HOME is not horrible but I guess I just personally do not see the point in using it. Fun/good is subjective though so I guess what I see as flawed is fun to others.

StanSmith2384d ago

Personally, I've become bitter towards home ever since finding out that Eight Days and The Getaway 3 were cancelled because of it!

GribbleGrunger2384d ago (Edited 2384d ago )

wwm0nkey, i was talking to cstyle :) must have hit the wrong reply.

Where in Home do i go to watch E3?

metsgaming2384d ago

probably in one of the theaters. I remember them having the ps blog interviews their, never watched the actual conference on their (dont actually know if they had it in the past) and i wont this time either. I rather watch it online so i can see peoples reactions. I also will have the tv on just in case the stream is messed up.

SonyStyled2384d ago

previous years they launch their own E3 space to whatch the conference on a big screen. its actually a pretty visually stunning space thats sadly taken down shortly after E3

Emilio_Estevez2384d ago

The theater, and all their trailers will be in their E3 booth space...It won't open until Monday. That will be available for a few weeks...The last 2 years have had lots of home item rewards for watching them too, pretty sure this year will have them too.
