I honestly think its anybodys for the taking. The truth is none of us know exactly what the big 3 have in store for us at this years e3. Anyway heres my predictions...
Sony...
Games galore featuring both new ips and returning faves for both ps3 and vita.
I can see gran turismo, resi evil and infamous on vita, a new aaa game for ps3.
Nintendo...
Wii launch games announced, my guess is... Mario galaxy 3, f zero and maybe star fox for launch window.
Zelda and metroid will be mentioned for wii u.
3ds redesin will feature 2 sticks ( not nubs like on the current 3ds maybe )
Microsoft will be dead last with the exact same horrible showing they've had for the past 2 years. This year will be COD, Halo, and Gears just like last year. Yawn
@Madmen Wait so the future of gaming is less games and you're content with that...WTF. How can you even call yourself a gamer with that line of thinking. I for one will be fighting til the very end, no way will I be embracing it.
Microsoft were a joke last year, but lets not write them off just yet. They have Halo 4 and the new Gears to announce and I for one am really hyped for those two games.
Infact, the only conference I'm not hyped about is Nintendo's. Unless Nintendo show me lots of hard core games and an optional standard controller then to me its going to be down to either Sony or Microsoft.
Either way we all have different tastes and interests. There are no true winners at E3. I'm sure Nintendo fans will think Nintendo's will be the best, as would Sony and MS fans would think of their respective conferences.
Nintendo will win it,Sony comes second and Microsoft is nowhere to be seen
The problem with Sony is that their announcements always leak before E3,I remember last year and the one before where we would always think that"wow, they announced so many games pre E3,they must have alot to show!!" which in the end turns out to be DEAD wrong. They only have trailers or gameplay of the already announced titles. The hype surrounding E3 shows is the surprise of something new and amazing, but if you know beforehand it kills the momentum
Bottomline,Sony is bad at keeping secrets.
Now I am only talking about E3 shows, but in general I do think that Sony is the better brand
People will bash Microsoft if they show anything Kinect related, the fact of the matter is that people have Kinect's and want to see some software. I personally don't own a Vita, so I don't really want to see Vita software shown. Its the same situation with Kinect and Microsoft for some people and I totally get that.
That being said, just because a company shows something you might not be into, doesn't mean they had a bad show.
I'm most looking forward to Nintendo's show, I think everyone will be focused on the Wii U, no matter where your allegiances lie.
I want to see the price point on the Wii U, the release date, the launch lineup and the specs/final design of it.
Want to see God Of War Ascension,Last Of Us, Infamous 3 and hoping for Uncharted 4 or Killzone 4 with Sony.
I cant wait to see the Halo 4 demo, find out more about the new Gears prequel, find out what exactly Forza Horizon is and I would love to see this rumored new IP. Anytime you got Gears and Halo at the same show, its gonna be epic.
Here's my brief prediction of E3 "winners" this year:
1. Sony - the fact that price drops for the PS3 and Vita are likely this year get me very excited, which I'm sure many gamers that don't own either or will be as well. The suspense of whether or not they'll hint at a PS4 (I highly doubt it) is also keeping the industry very anxious, but the biggest factor? The games! It's already expected that they'll be talking about nothing but games since all their hardware is all out in the open. I'm predicting that much of what they speak about this year will please the gamer, which is obviously most important to me. And the best part? New IPs are a certainty with Sony.
2. Nintendo - They still have a lot to talk about with the Wii U, which will probably take a huge chunk of time, but I think they'll beat out Microsoft this year because they will also talk about the games. Granted they won't spend as much time on the individual games as much as Sony will due to hardware talk, I do feel like the rest of the space will be taken up by games, which is great.
3. Microsoft - I don't think new hardware will come out of them this year since there are so many new Xbox owners as of late (according to the great holiday season they had last year), but they also won't talk much about the games a large majority of us actually care for (and definitely not new IPs). Instead, I expect some weak-but-lengthy Kinect talk and a ton of media-based apps. If anything exciting happens, it'll probably be a new teaser for Gears, a couple of minutes of Halo 4 and a Black Ops 2 trailer all at the very end of the conference.
Let's hope I'm proven wrong on some of the negative points. Realistically, though?....
