But Why No Co-Op?

Games need to bring back co-op. There has been less and less games utilizing this treasured feature. Sure, there's "horde" mode but the campaigns are getting lonely.

I really don't like split screen because games have to reduce resolution and you have a narrow, tiny screen to look at, even on a 46" TV.

dont care for split screen , always found it annoying and lame , exception made with mario kart , that said , of course to each their own.

But it would be nice if lan play came back on console ( and by that i mean offline).

Agree with the article. Some of the best games I've ever played have been co-op! Monster Hunter, Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain, Phantasy Star Online...

As for Split Screen, sure. It's a much neglected feature. If people don't like it then they don't have to use it. They can connect online just as easy. EVERYBODY WINS!!!

I tire of games that implement some sort of horde mode so they can slap "Coop" on the game, it's cheap and hollow.

I hope the next generation of console will lend themselves more easily to coop.
