A short interview with David Rutter, producer : No plans for PS VITA version of FIFA 13 for now.
I don't.... what?
I guess it doesnt make business sense as not many people are buying the Vita. They would be better of releasing the game to Iphone and the millions of Androids out there. Only thing needed would be a controller and these devices would be set.
good keep your soccer trash
its called football. the most popular sport in the world.
don't argue with americans *north
most popular or did you mean most pathetic pansies.
its called trash.
I'm from South Africa and we call it soccer too ..
football trash or not when EA decides against putting one of its biggest selling fanchises on the vita the future looks bleak when you consider it wouldnt be that hard to convert reuseing all the games assets from the other versions.
Lulz, Americans stole the term football for their game of EGGBALL. Kinda funny. They think USA = the world, thus they say that the real football is called soccer. They should call that game of eggball soccer (pronounce: sucker). There is only one football, and that ball is round, and the game started in UK. Onto the game of football on PSVita, its visible that because of the lower than expected sales numbers companies won't release, or will release later, when the installed base got higher. They're holding off at the moment. Sony needs to push the PSVita more, about how Nintendo pushed the 3DS when it was slacking in sales the first 6 months. Hopefully Sony does this at E3, the perfect moment for it.
actually any game played with your feet was called football during mid-evil times. Thats because it was played by people that could not afford to do the other sports that the wealthy could. The wealthy played sports on a horse.
I saw on Play-Asia that the vita version was already available for pre-order
Yeah this seems too stupid to be true.
Just checked Amazon UK and they have it available for pre-order on Vita. Edit: This was copied direct from fifa13.com: The Fifa 13 Pre Order is now available for all major platforms such as the Xbox 360, PS3, Nintendo WII, PC, Nintendo 3DS, Sony PSP and Playsation Vita. http://www.fifa13.com/ And this on ea.com: FIFA 13 will be available in stores world-wide this fall for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system with PlayStation Move support, Xbox 360® videogame and entertainment system with Kinect™, PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system, Wii™, PC, PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, Nintendo 3DS™, PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system, iPhone®, iPad®, iPod® touch and other mobile platforms. http://www.ea.com/soccer/ne...
No plans on buying FIFA on my end anyway.
This is terrible no fifa and no pes for vita? what is wrong with these developers.
Hardware sales, maybe?
@Murkster - Didn't you read the post by flatbattery above. Don't believe everything that becomes a story on N4G
Nirwanda, Dubez, and Kasasensei only three people with leading points. I don't see how what country you come from, what name the sport is called in your country the colours of participants have to do with, what looks like a possible poor business choice. I know Fifa12 is there, I wonder if they'll use that as a test.
It should say - No plans for PS VITA.
Its coming http://www.btgames.co.za/po...
Ive got a vita, just really let down with the lack of announcements for it. Should have waited. Uncharted rocked though.
Well that sucks big time, I love playing console-quality FIFA on the go.
This better come to vita so I can take Manchester all the way while I'm at work
seems like a massive opportunity missed, in europe alone it would have been worth it
I for one want to see PSone and PS2 games on my VITA Im sick of all this waiting Sony! I love the Vita. greatest handheld ever made but sheez give us those in the meantime while you guys are churning new games! Hopefully we'll hear something at E3.
when fiufa soccer was gonna launch with the psvita, i remember a video of him saying if sales are strong then they will make fifa games for the vita. It makes sense for a company not to invest in a development project if it wont sell
