TQ author writes: Did you see that? Or was it just me? While playing the Gravity Rush Demo on the PlayStation Vita I was caught off guard by a specific cut scene that clearly showed some sort of glasses-free 3D trickery. Take a look.
interesting if true. i've got to say though that i played the demo and didn't notice it
It wasn't (I'll have to replay to make sure) It was just the camera moving cause of the Vita movement, which I thought was a bit strange to have.
3d has been always possible since the beginning of the times... but most of you are to brainwash to know anything about life, health or anything for that matter, and sorry but i have to be rude... simply put two alike images and with your eyes you can trick your brain and make it see it ass one 3d image.. http://www.youtube.com/watc... remember all you got to do is cross your eyes and be able to see 3 images in the pale of the two the image in the middle will be in 3d and you na do this with anythign if you have tow pictures alike or any copy....
gyroscopes make the effect. killzone 2 had a smililar effect with its loading screens.
I actually thought that was sick use of a loading screen, pretty unique!
It's was awesome. I thought that KZ3 loading screen was so ugly I couldnt stand to look at it.
that author is an idiot... first he reviewed a demo saying dont play it because its to short, then he was astonished by a simple little effect saying its 3D with out glasses... and yes like a_bro mentioned its the same thing from killzone 2
Actually if you read the demo impressions, the author specifically said to "unlock it" meaning play it. Idiot for not reading it entirely.
If anything this is reminding me how p!ssed Iam that Sony don't support sixaxis anymore... wtf dude, waste of space now. Wish they'd toy with it again!
pissed at sony? why, be pissed at the developers for not using it in their games
Twisted Metal and Journey use sixasis a little. I've also played games in LittleBigPlanet 2 that use sixasis.
Anyone tried going into first person mode by pressing up on the d-pad? Pretty awesome use of the gyroscope there.
It tilts the picture with your face, so it looks like you're seeing all around it.
So it's like those old Wii demonstrations that the one guy did on Youtube? That's cool. Nice to see that concept actually get USED in a game, even if just the cutscenes.
Those 3D comics look really awesome, I played with it a bit and wanted more.
Reminds me of killzone 2, syndicate, heck even tintin on iphone used it.
I spent more time with tilting the vita on the comic part, rather than actually playing the game... Short demo, but EVERYTHING is AWESOME!!! Day one purchase.
i didnt notice it but i also wasnt paying attention to the cut scenes.. ill try it again but i doubt its something sony is going to try and do
That part was wicked cool! It wasn't 3D though. It was almost like a head-tracking effect except instead of moving your head to see it, you simply move the Vita.
