'Fable: The Journey' is "seriously" the biggest thing we've ever made, says Lionhead

In an interview, creative director Gary Carr described the game as "massive", saying that it far exceeds early estimations in terms of its size.

"This is the biggest thing we've ever made," revealed Carr.

"Seriously, I don't want to sound like I'm over hyping it, but our biggest problem was that we put you on this thing that moves at 30mph, so we had to build this massive world.

"At E3 last year I got my maths wrong, I said it was 300 miles of track, but it's way, way, way more than that," he added.

Is it a Kinect only game ? If so then NO thanks.

I'm a lazy bastard that likes playing my games sitting in the sofa with a controller, and not getting up and moving my arms and legs around in front a TV like a moron (Wii, Move and Kinect I'm looking at you)

As a fan of Lionhead I can't wait to see what these guys pull off.

They obviously are going to continue to get silly hate from the usual suspects who don't even own the console let alone Kinect, but that's not the audience they need to target at E3.

Could be a sleeper hit for Kinect this September and the game that shows what can be done if all of it's strengths are integrated into a major title.

You don't even need to sarcastically comment those guys. They are just fine doing idiots of themselves.

"They are just fine doing idiots of themselves"

Quoted for stupidity.

Why is it so hard to believe? I love LionHeads work, but nothing they've made is really 'big', and every retail game they've made has been bigger than the last, so why is it so hard to believe thier latest game is the biggest yet?

Top 10 Worst Kinect Games

Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: "A few days ago, Microsoft announced that they were officially discontinuing their Kinect motion-sensing accessory. What was once considered a chief-rival to Nintendo’s Wii revolution and an integral part of the Xbox One’s launch has come to an end, and we here at Link-Cable… couldn’t be happier. The Kinect, while sporting impressive technology never managed to live up to its full potential and most of the games released for the device either had shoe-horned in support or barely functioned as intentioned, in part because of the device’s very specific ideal conditions. So as the Kinect sails off into sunset, we’ve decided to remember the worst of times and look back at the Top 10 Worst Kinect games."

Kinect, for me, is easily worth owning for two things: Dance Central for me acting like an idiot and having fun, and Kinect Party for my kids when they want to have easy-access stupid fun at like a kid's party. Those were the only games I have enjoyed on it, and they couldn't be done any other way (well, I guess that KP is EyeToy-level work). But my hope is that when motion control falls away, we'll get a proper DDR again.

Yet for 150 quid it is and was most certainly not worth owning for solely those 2 games, that you have to pay money for also.

Now far be it from me to tell you what is worth it or not worth it to you. But if that is what is worth it to you, I don't want to know what ISN'T worth it lol.

RyanDJ2347d ago

It was worth it to buy one used for half price and get one of those two games for free. ;)
