E3 2012 Predictions – Microsoft | GodisaGeek

GodisaGeek: "The staff at GodisaGeek get their (crystal) balls out for our E3 2012 Press Conference predictions. Read what we think will (or will not!) happen during the biggest event of the gaming calendar." (E3, Microsoft, Xbox 360)

I hope next-gen xbox confirmed E3....

I suspect the new xbox will only be confirmed next year at GDC 2013 or E3 2013 and released Oct. or Nov. 2013.

Microsoft really need to show more exclusives. They have way to few.

As for Kinect games and Move games, Microsoft and Sony can keep them. Not interested in any of them.

It's easy to predict much of what MS does because they have always been smart about what they show at E3.

You simply promote your strengths and that's ALL that matters at the end.

Halo 4's 200-man development team is arguably the best ever assembled. We are talking a game that will shape the future of MS gaming. Of course this game gets the red carpet treatment as it will be the biggest exclusive in 2012.

Bungie's Destiny now leaked as a potential gen exclusive for the 360 should definately make the stage.

Forza Horizon could also arguably be on the the best racing teams assembled with the core mixture of Turn 10, Bizarre Creations, and Black Rock studios. Could be the sleeper franchise that alternates with the main Forza down the line.

Black Ops 2 is the #1 anticipated exclusive for PS3 gamers as well as the 360. The success of that game usually has it's roots with an appearance on the Micrsoft stage.

Who cares about the Kinect haters online. The fact is millions bought it and there is a potential for millions to purchase it this holiday.

This is clearly the best lineup by far Kinect has ever had with Fable: Journey and Steel Batallion at lead.

I still say if EAs Madden 13 and Fifa 13 (or Fight Night 13) shows off the new Kinect integration on-stage it will be big for the 360 as a whole.

I love how XBLA has turned into the huge array of great experiences..Dead Light looks nothing short of amazing IMO. I hope Summer of Arcade makes the E3 stage. (still praying for Shadow Complex 2)

Xbox Live advancement will obviously make up some of the show and it'll be curious to see if the rumored Kinect powered browser makes it.

MS has the good for an overall huge show and has the potential to shock the naysayers and announce the 720 at the end of the show. Which I believe is a likely scenario.

ill sum up the microsoft show, more mediocre kinect titles, more rip off Features on XBL, HALO 4, HALO 4 multiplayer, brag about multiplats since there wont be a gears for a couple years, the end.

It's funny because it's true. Look at the last few Microsoft E3 conferences.

They would still win thanks to Halo 4.

Seriously:

- Halo 4
- Forza Horizon
- Exclusive DLC / Mode for Resident Evil 6
- GTA V exclusive stuff
- New game from Twisted Pixel guys
- Ryse (crytek) detalis
- Fable: Journey
- CoD exclusive stuff
- Rainbow Six Kinect stuff
- New Rare game
- New Apps
- Skype
- Tomb Raider Exclusive stuff
- Hopefully something from one of the new studios

So pretty much same old Halo and Forza with a bunch of third party games. I don't mean to put it so bluntly but thats it.

I think it's a little early to underestimate Microsoft (or any publisher/developer at E3). It's entirely plausible that we could see some real surprises next week.

Having said that, I do believe Sony have done wonderful things in regards to PS3 exclusives, in recent years - Microsoft are lagging behind in that regard at the moment.

I think we will see
halo 4, forza horizon, alan wake 2 and a shed load of kinect titles

E3 2010 for MS was by far the biggest upset in there E3. Last year was better, but far from impressive. With Sony threatening there E3 with a whole bunch of games announced and unannounced titles. And Nintendo showing off shiny new hardware, I believe MS will show off (and finally) a descent amount of exclusives, they have no choice as well as quite possibly tease a new system. MS can't have another lackluster E3 MS's been holding back they need to come out swinging if they don't want Sony to outshine them with 1st party games and Nintendo's new hardware showing.

I sure hope you are right about Alan Wake 2 - I really could go for a new title with something a bit more substantial than American Nightmare.
