Dragon's Dogma Review | Otaku Gaming

Otaku Gaming writes: "Stepping back and looking at Dragon’s Dogma from a meta-perspective makes you realise it represents everything that is wrong with the games industry. It is an offensively derivative game that makes Gameloft’s knock-offs look creative. Despite the utter cynicism it displays towards consumer buying behaviours, it’s still a moderately entertaining game, but it sits very firmly within the second tier of JRPGs." (Dragon's Dogma, PS3, Xbox 360) 2/5

Having played the demo this is a really bad game >.<

The Witcher 2 pulls off a lot of things very well on the Xbox 360.

WOW, This reviewer is so far off the mark in every aspect of his review I found myself both laughing at his statements and gritting my teeth in anger and frustration at the same time. incredible. Did this person even play Dragon's Dogma!!!

I know... most of these reviewers haven't played the game it seems

I didn't read the review, just saw the score. Despite its flaws, I personally love the game. I can see not everyone liking it and it may not be your cup of tea, but a 40...really? Its all opinions but a 40 pretty much means bottom of the barrel bad...lets reserve that score for games that truly deserve it.

im buying the game friday so im reading the good and the bad reviews. should i wait for a price drop or is it worth the full price? so many mixed opinions, people love it or hate it. can someone just answer this for me? is it a solid game worth admission?

This is a great game. Don't let reviews sway your decision especially this horrible review. This reviewer really is a clown

I'm 80 hours in the game and I love every second of it. All I'll say to sum it up is that I really hope they make a sequel to the game.

In all honesty though, why don't you just download the demo and try it for yourself? I don't understand why you would need someone else's say/opinion to know if *****you***** would want to play the game. For example, White Knight Chronicles II got bad reviews, but IMO, it's one of the very few games this past year I felt was worth the $60 tag. Reviews are too random to really judge or go off of.

Not trying to sound like an A-hole but just saying...

*Edit for possible spoiler.

i went ahead and bought it, i like it so far. i did play the demo but the world wasnt open. people said the world felt incomplete so i was hesitant on paying $65 for it when i usually budget games like this. as far as sounding like an asshole, you kinda did. im just absolutly sick of reviewers this gen and would rather take the word of gamers on n4g. last gen reviewers were good,, but i bet they will be fkn plenty and worthless next gen. so far this gen i mostly agree with gameinformer and gamespot.

Looking at the site etc. It's run by Nintendo fanboys.

Don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with being a Nintendo fan however, the sites clearly biased, this game + a review that suggests only the demo has been played or possibly a quick go at a friends of Dragons Dogma receives 2/5 yet 'farm simulator' for the 3ds receives 4?.. along with other ninty games(that aren't any better than this game) receiving good scores.

First rule of good journalism, don't be biased.
