With only a week and two days until Paradise's release, Avid Gamer share their top seven reasons as to why they think you should buy Burnout Paradise.
Well, i just need one
7+ one of my own its a lot better on ps3
true, it is alot better on PS3.
Get your tinfoil helmets!
it may sounds like a fanboy comment but Criterion actually confirmed that PS3 is better. But either way, gameplay on both console will be the same and enjoyable.
caffman you are definitly not in a postion to point fingers at fanboys.
I own every console except the PS3 which I WILL get at some point as I want a blu-ray player.
Guess i will be getting it on ps3 then.
Love the Online game play
Reason why I shouldn't get it:
I can't get out of the car.
love burnout since Burnout 1 (PS)
Great demo and im looking forward to the full game (PS3)
No reason needed other than it's a Criterion game and it's Burnout. Burnout 3 is considered among top 10 games of last gen and Revenge was every bit as good as that classic.
This is reinvention of Burnout and is true Paradise for any real gamer who has either PS3 or 360.
Reason not to get it: Over hyped, waste of money the one from last generation was better.
I guess that's why Edge (The harshed reviewer on the market) gave it 9/10 and EGM did the same and gave 9/10.
I somewhat agree with you.
I miss after touch effect :(
I'm so so on buying this.
that erm that erm... what it called? The one you roll your car into the traffic ( similar to crash)
Anyway i saw that on gamer.tv and it looks very good and fun. Im looking forward to try that out. Gamer.tv gave the game 9/10. good rating.
is the lack of crash mode.
caffman, Crash is not gone. There is a new mode that is essentially the same old Crash :)
That's kind of true power of green, but the last one wasn't good either ha. I haven't played once since it was on the regular xbox and I was at my friends house.
7 reasons for burnout? pshh i only need 1
Until I heard that EA is planning NOT to release the entire map that was shown earlier with the game.
They're planning on withholding a large chunk of the map and releasing it later as DLC. This DLC crap is getting out of control and EA is the worst company for it. I'm not going to get this game until I've heard exactly how much they end up giving us gamers in the "so-called" release.
EDIT: Actually I found the orignal map before they removed the sections and it was stuff I hadn't seen in the demo. So basically if you look at the map in the demo it seems that's what you'll be getting in the release game.
EDIT EDIT: However if EA has all the content on the disc and simply "unlocks" it if you purchase the DLC, it would be a dirty tactic. I'm guessing this'll be the way it works seeing as I've heard about them doing this before.
Is there a source for that, as I'd like to read that.
Not worth 60 bucks by any stretch of the imagination.
I'm into sim racing game so I'm still not sure whether I will pick this up or not.
I've enjoyed the previous installments plenty, but this one just isn't cutting it for me.
I'm starting to get a 'same old, same old' vibe here. The implementation of takedowns was awesome, it really pushed the series imo. But the new features in this installment (online/free-roaming) just aren't enough to get me excited.
I tried to like it with the demo, but I just can't get into it anymore.
Number 6. It’s better than Need for Speed: Pro Street. In direct opposition to Burnout, EA’s Need for Speed: Pro Street’s developers took the game in the opposite direction and gave it a structured track approach. Boasting slicker visuals and the open ended gameplay that Need for Speed was once renowned for, Burnout Paradise will be sure to satisfy racer’s need for open-ended city based racing.
ProStreet: You suck for taking away my cops. Thank you.
Day 1 purchase
Definitely is for me :)
IGN review is 8.8, good score :)
Ah cheers for the heads up, an interesting read.
this title looks very polished. just from the demo. i'm looking forward to playing it. probably going to be a purchase.
