More DMC In 2015, But Which Continuity Will It Follow?

Capcom recently outlined a strategy to shorten development times, pointing to the very real possibility of a new Devil May Cry to strike in 2015. It seems, however, that the company is sending mixed messages about the future of its action extravaganza as it is promoting both the originals and Ninja Theory's upcoming reimagining. So which continuity will future entries follow? (Capcom, Culture, Dev, Devil May Cry HD Collection, DmC: Devil May Cry, Ninja Theory, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

God please... The originals...

I hated the new Dante look, but was willing to give it a chance... The animations looked bad, but I was still going to give it a chance... Until I heard something about Dante now being half angel? Yeah, that's where it ended for me.

i'm giving it a chance but yea the half angel thing is absolutely terrible. also Kat seems like a cool female lead, at least better than Lucia (err... X) and Kyrie.

If DmC manages to hit sales targets, it'll be DmC. If it can't get anywhere near DMC4's numbers, it'll be DMC5.

Don't know who's going to make it though.

I'm not going to buy DmC, even if it's $20 to see what happens next.

I hope it's the original series, if only because I want Capcom to expand on the world and characters they have already created. I'm really interested in learning more about Vergil, Sparta, and even more of the world that Dante lives in. I think the plot (especially the rivalry between Vergil and Dante) could be really amazing if only Capcom let it be.

Just make a sequel to DMC2. I don't get why they need to make prequel after prequel. It's just not smart maintaining a franchise story wise with prequels.

As long as it goes back to the purely gothic roots of the first episodes, I'll give a chance to whoever develops the game. Remember back when Devil May Cry hit stores, such an amazing time !

I hate it when people make fun of Japanese games for being too Japanese.

Im not a hardcore dmc fan, I only just started playing it (got the hd collection) and I now understand why people are hating on this. Not just the Dante look, but it looks kind of slow compared to the originals. I wish they would just continue on with the story after dmc2. I also hope they bring out a vita one.. Id love to see more of the sibling rivalry between Dante and Virgil too!

I want a dmc5 then DmC2 (if a hit and has a fan backing), atleast it will cater for both sides of the fans. CAPCOM would be purely idiotic if they rejected dmc after 4.
