Today, Ubisoft announced that it will kick off the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2012 with an invitation-only press conference at the Los Angeles Theater at 3 p.m. PDT, June 4.
Absolutely nothing in there that wasn't expected, disappointing
everything as expected would like to see AC3 more
Its like this article was written ny someone that hasen't paid attention to gaming for the last 6 months.
I do not think this is the full lineup I am hoping for Rainbow Six Patriots and Splinter Cell 6
Yea, not sure why Rainbow Six wouldn't be in some fashion there. Can't wait for it though!
That can't be the full line up. I imagine we will see R6. SC6 might be a surprise showing.
Link doesn't even lead to the post for me
Lets hope they don't let Aaron Pryceman host again this year
He was terrible. I hope they have splinter cell lurking in the shadows somewhere, even in the vain of a trailer. Just to officially confirm the games presence.
I can imagine a silhouette of a mans face in the rain with Fisher narrating over about how "Terrorism never takes a break" then his goggles turn on and it cuts to black with the title of the new game revealed and nothing else.
that would be cool
mike, thats exactly the crap i expect if splinter cell is anounced, a 30 second clip showing nothing and then a 2 year wait. But seriously are there any people left who even want to play that crap?
Britainz-Finest360 I didn't say it had to be a good Idea just the way the franchise is going It could be possible
lol tom calancy
Can't beat the time machine
LOL thats funny above me
Oh, you mean the guy that started off the show with penis jokes? lol
That's not the line-up - that's just what they are showing at the booth, the invite only press conference is where they are unveiling the blockbusters and surprises.
Suuuuure they will. That's what E3 is all about; secretly revealing titles behind curtains that give journalists little more material to write about than if they just made something up. /s
I always love watching Ubisofts "Road to E3" videos every year. I wish more publishers and devs did them. It's cool to see the team excited and nervous about their demo.
I'd like a proper Prince of Persia sequel to the 2005? Not the cell shaded one. Though I liked that too for different reasons. And let's see a snake/fisher crossover!! Lol
I'd like to see a sequel to the cell shaded PoP. One of the best and most realized worlds I've seen in a long time. A true inspired iteration, unlike The Forgotten Sands. And yes, and a new Splinter Cell. Something along the lines of Pandora Tomorrow/Chaos Theory with multiplayer included...
Ubisoft doesn't make blockbuster games unless they mean renting Ubisoft games at Blockbuster (implying anyone would ever go to such a garbage store).
Blockbuster... I will not forget that day. I'd just played a demo for Metal Gear Solid, I'd got to the DARPA Chief, when it the demo ended. I NEEDED to know more! So I ran down to blockbuster, found the game, and brought it to the counter. "Sorry, you're not old enough." "But I've just played the demo!" :( My first run in with age rating censorship began with Blockbuster. In the end I rented Ape Escape which was shit good anyway. I needed to wait but a little longer before MGS was mine.
hey, Regent_of_the_Mask.. Do you just hate everything!? All you do on here is troll all the comments and complain about whatever article/games is being discussed. You only have one bubble, why not ever use it for a positive remark? On Topic: I'm interested in hearing whether or not U-play will be incorporated into more games, especially Far Cry 3. I think it's a great service that really gives in-game acheivements worth trying to obtain, since you actually earned in-game goodies like costumes and weapons, rather than just trophies and gamerscore.
I think that all games on PS3/360/Wii U by Ubisoft will have U-play incorporated into them.
Except there is absolutely no reason to layer services just to have unlockables.
What? Aren't you excited for Madden's Creed? Generic Recon: Pew Pew Pew? $60 2D Rayman Game #2? So Repetitive That You'll Cry 3? How could you not think ANY of those are blockbusters?!?! /s
Actually Assasin's Creed 3 and Far Cry 3 are 2 of my most anticipated upcoming games this year..and hopefully Ubi will announce another Splinter Cell at E3 ;) And since AC is already an established money-maker franchise, and given the popularity of FPS games these days, I'm sure both AC3 and FC3 are sure to be "blockbusters" if we're using that word to mean "huge sales numbers"! PS: I'm not sure what a "layered service just for unlockables" means.. From the SC: Conviction menu, all I had to do was create a U-play account (for free) using an email address.. then it gave me a list of in-game tasks to complete which unlocked more content. I'm not really into trophies and acheivements/gamerscore, but completeing assignments for in-game goodies (for free) is pretty awesome.
I was hoping for some surprises, but I guess they went that way ---> .
I'm sure they will have some surprises. Maybe Splinter Cell 6, perhaps Brothers in Arms will make a showing.
New Rainbow 6 or no care
And online pass prevents me from buying any of them.
Actually, they don't (referring to the headline). Rubbish.
Ubisoft revealed a line-up of all games that were expected.Maybe the author of this article was living in a cave for the past year somewhere.
I was hoping for Rainbow 6 guess not
I am betting 'my hopes and dreams' on seeing Beyond Good and Evil 2 at E3. It's just a hunch but there's been a lot of big talk about surprises, Ubisoft are claiming this will be their biggest E3 ever and there have been murmurings in the wind about it finally showing far more beyond the CG they showed years ago.
There was some poll that IGN and Gamespot did with their fans and mostly all of them said that they were the most excited to see Assassin's Creed III more than any other game at E3. Aside from GTA V, that is.
