A large part of Enemy Unknown involves shooting aliens in the face. However, I’ll get to that bit in a moment. What really struck me about my hands on with this tactical reboot is just how big and deep it all looks – this isn’t just a turn-based strategy game. There’s scientific research, character development, engineers to manage, bases to build, and global politics to balance. Effectively mixed in among the indiscriminate alien slaughter are elements of Civ, The Sims and Sim City. This is deep.
