ZI takes a look at the patent design for the new Wii U controller and breaks down all the significant changes. There's more than just new thumbsticks, shifted button placement, and a wider, sleeker look, folks!
The first time that I saw you, I knew that I was in love.
GET YO' HANDS OFF MY CONTROLLER!
I will use it to see through clothes! so I'm hoping that its wireless, last as long as the dual shock controller so i can take it to Malls, clubs and bars;-)
Well ... one can only hope this controller really makes an impact in a good way. Can't wait to see E3 and see what Nintendo and hopefully third parties have in store with this new controller. Love that they changed the sliders to analogs.
yo what up kid haven't seen you on here in a while. yea to change to analogs is much, much better but why no 8 way direction.
"Besides, I’d rather the touch screen be used in ways that aren’t possible on other platforms than as a dumping ground for buttons that didn’t fit." Well said sir. I wish more people could look at it that way.
Have fun playing multi-player games with this system and fighting over the one controller with the screen.
You know not every game needs to be played with the tablet controller. Also there's a thing called online multiplayer.
I think he is refering to the old days. Fact is most games hardly do local-multiplayer. Hell even "LAN" mode seems to disappear more and more.
I absolutely guarantee you that the single on-screen controller is going to be cause of numerous family conflicts over who gets to use it.
@clevernickname And? How does that affect you or me; the core gamer? The idea is to appeal to a core audience, right? What does the core audience like? Online multiplayer. I can't even remember the last time me and a group of my friends got together for local multiplayer. Next, if more games can be designed the way Pac-man Vs. was designed (sort of a juggernaut type of experience) then having just one tablet controller can work. Of course I don't know about this for sure, only Nintendo does. Can we please just wait until E3?
"What does the core audience like? Online multiplayer. I can't even remember the last time me and a group of my friends got together for local multiplayer. " What? No, BS. I like local multiplayer games. Not there is something wrong with online multiplayer, it's just stupid to assume we only want online mp. The reason I get to play less local multiplayer is because most games have opt the idea of local multiplayer. Remember burnout? Perfect local multiplayer game. Last iteration? WHERE IT AT?
