GamesRadar:
So Sega has just announced that Geabox's long-awaited Aliens: Colonial Marines is now set to drop on the new, later-than-expected release date of the 13th of February, 2013. Given that the game was originally slated for late 2012, many are understandably decrying this as a delay. But is it, really?
Reading is a valuable asset, you should try to use it.
Yea, because more money in the bank than Sony and Microsoft's seperate gaming divisions combined as stated in financial reports earlier this year. Along with their reported ability to be able to take a loss like the last reported one, every year till 2052 and still be in the black isn't a lot of money >.<
You should read the financial reports on each company before assuming Nintendo is the one without cash and doing badly. Just a quick google would have shown you that Nintendo has crap tons of money to throw around.
It was a smart move because the game would have been crushed by the high profile holiday releases.
Evil
And i think the delay is because of the overcrowded end of year period, as per usual.
Aliens Colonial Marines is though, as has been stated by 20th Century Fox: http://www.warpzoned.com/?p...
"the Sega-published shooter has been inducted into the “official canon” of the Alien universe by 20th Century Fox. Chris Faylor, the Community Manager for developer Gearbox Software, told us that all previous expanded universe material (including the novels, the comics, and all the Alien vs Predator stuff) has been thrown out. The only productions currently considered canon are the first four films (yes, even Alien 3), Aliens: Colonial Marines, and maybe Ridley Scott’s Prometheus (since there’s still the possibility it’s not a prequel)."
I'd say its highly likely that the Wii U will have ACM exclusively for a few months. the statements in the article are strongly hinting towards it. This would be an EPIC launch title for it, and would make me part with my hard-earned on the wii Us release date for sure.
I love alien games and am looking forward to this for just the Sp.
I didn't think anyone liked rushed games. Good luck with that philosophy.
I can't wait, I want a WiiU muchly =-D.
aswell as keeping to the traditional button scheme that gamers are aclined to i see why developers would choose the wiiU for a timed exclusive of there new game
