Week after week we keep seeing Sony announce game after game. Whether it be Little Big Planet Karting, Soul Sacrifice, God of War or Playstation All-Stars the games just keep coming and we're only weeks away from E3. It really asks the question, "Just what the hell is Sony thinking?".
/wishfulthinking
I'm usually not too bothered about E3 and I miss a lot of it (I live in UK). But I think this year I will fight time and stay awake to see what Sony will reveal. No adjective can describe my current feeling.
Sony, Amaze me...
Oh, and I think Sony are extremely confident hence they are announcing game after game before E3. Something big will go down. Something which no script writer can predict.
Ninty's hardware might garner some attention because it's new. It doesn't mean that all focus and attention will be drawn towards them. For once I'm more interested in what Sony has to show at E3 than Ninty's shady mysterious hardware.
This announcements are better than nothing or cramming them all up in a two hour show.
Substance over Style peeps.

A New exclusive Mascot Character Based Game from SCE Japan
E3 is a huge event, it usually holds tens of announcements of new games. By spreading the announces just before E3 they build up hype for their presentation as well as giving the media outlets plenty of time to do their stuff.
It's not that Sony is afraid of media focusing in other games, it's just that coverage at E3 is quite poor all around, mostly because every journalist in there need to be done as quickly as possible in order to attend to the next event, check the next booth or make the next interview.
It doesn't mean they won't have surprises in there, they usually have some, but there's merit to this "crazyness" of outing your announces before the main event.
might have been around feb march
for Vita to succeed this E3 is very important so expect a new bundle with same price but a memory card and a game most likely uncharted.
last of us gameplay
sly 4
all-star battle royal
killzone 4 as a surprise
QD may debut its game after heavy rain
Valve could announce LFD 3 on sony's stage and LFD 1-2 coming to ps3
but i am not expecting any big surprises besides agent
Announcing everything in a very plotted out fashion and then detailing it all during the show is just how they have approached e3 for the last several years.
JESUS is GOD ......
im done with video games......................... ...56 and done!!!
I think this is a smarter strategy that Sony is employing: announce the game in a dedicated press-conference for the initial coverage, and then use the stage time for actual gameplay presentation in E3. No point showing trailers with no interaction on stage when you can show them all throughout the year.
But having at least a single surprise is always good.
1. Go to your library
2. Make a new account using their computers
3. Release the goods
4. Watch the hype ensue.
Just sayin'
But if you really look at the big picture Sony has to push the VITA hard at E3 cause it not selling as well as the 3DS and you can bet that Nintendo will announce some new Mario, Pokemon or Zelda game for the 3DS - would love to see a 3DS Smash Bros.
What isn't sony planning?
the more it makes me think that maybe we'll see something new regarding The Last Guardian at their actual conference.
Kara PSN Plus version comes with the new "Digital Debauchery" expansion.....

But who know the last point is more of a tgs thing.
On a sidenote today has been awesome. West Ham promoted, Chelsea win the CL and inbetween i've been playing Max Payne 3.
Hopefully they show Agent, FFvs13 and a KZ4 tech demo for the PS4. I'm hoping they also announce an Ultra-slim PS3, I've had my 60GB launch model since Oct 2007 and I don't play PS2 games any more so I definitely wouldn't mind selling it for a more sleeker looking and smaller PS3.
;-)

^^ Realistic prediction rather than "OMG 10 new games announced"
Pipe-dream, I know.
And its not like they don't have more stuff to show us. They could show off what Sucker Punch has been working on. Quantic's next game could be there, maybe one of the three new games that Guerrilla has been working on will show up? Plus there are rumors of a new PaRappa and Syphon Filter. Which would be pretty cool.
For their show, I would kick it off with stage demos for the Last of Us and Assassin's Creed III.
