BioShock Infinite – A role model for future first person shooters?

When I first played Bioshock, I didn’t know what to expect. I was always a bit weary of first person shooters due to their generic and usually bland story line and gameplay. It’s almost always shoot this, blow up that, hold this position and that sort.

Thankfully, Bioshock was a whole different experience; the gameplay, the art and concept (so new and different), seemed to merge perfectly together to create the bizarre city, Rapture.

I fell in love with the whole presentation and especially the quirky and cliche 1940s artwork that was incorporated in every aspect of the game. After Bioshock 1 came Bioshock 2 which I also enjoyed although, not as much as the predecessor which had the element of surprise.

Still nothing could have prepared me for Bioshock Infinite. If you don’t know what I am talking about, then check out this 15 minute clip. Simply superb. First time I saw this, I was at a loss for words.
