GameXplain: "Operation Rainfall seemed like a pipedream when it was first announced. Gamers have attempted campaigns like it countless times in the past and the majority of them have failed outright. Whenever one did succeed, it rarely posted the sales that the publishers hoped to see. People are willing to verbally support a cause, but it seemed like few were willing to spend money on it. Worse was that the campaign was appealing to Nintendo, one of the most stubborn developers in existence. Ever since its release in 2006, fans have been begging Nintendo for an American release of Mother 3, but it looks like it'll never happen outside a fan translated rom. I fully expected the same to happen to the Operation Rainfall games: The Last Story, Pandora’s Tower, and Xenoblade Chronicles."
not only because this gen seriously lacks good jrpg games compared to the older gens.
no, xenoblade even compared to older jrpg classics from the ps1 era still standout. it is THAT good imo.
Even if it wasn't, it got people interested in a game that otherwise would never have come out in the western region.
Im halfways(???) though xenoblade and this game is fantastic. I still think Lost Odyssey was the best jrpg this gen but its a close one. I cant wait to see what monolith can do with the 3ds and wii-u. Hopefully mistwalker has found a home with nintendo since MS tossed them aside like garbage those idiots. Oh well Last Story in a month or so, im happy.
And it already had a euro release, a us release should have been a given.
The fact that nintendo fans had to start operation rainfall proved how badly out of touch, someone high up in either noa or noj, was with understanding it's customers.
