X3F talks difficulty concerns with Ninja Gaiden II's Itagaki

Joystiq writes:

"Gamerscore Blog recently afforded our buddies over at X3F the opportunity to ask Team Ninja's Tomonobu Itagaki one question about the upcoming Ninja Gaiden II on the 360. They chose to ask about the sequel's adjustments to the original's infamous difficulty, specifically the addition of a automatically-regenerating health system, seemingly added to widen the game's appeal to less-hardcore players."

The story is too old to be commented.

i wont it to be like the first, then when you complete it you get a sense of satisfaction that you just completed one of the hardest games out there.

yeah true, there's too many pu$$y gamers out there.

I found NG easy on hardest.

just On Land Charge spam.

well im still trying to get through ninja gaiden sigma...which isnt supposed to be too hard..but im struggling. Now, im not saying I want it easier, cos im enjoyin the struggle, and it took me a night just to get past a boss, but it felt great when I done it!

But I agree with them adding in an easier option, as the hardcore gamers wont use it, whereas the casual gamer has the choice

Lowering the difficulty = Fail.

NG wasn't that hard. You just have to learn the game. The game was never unfair, so to speak. It just punished you relentlessly for poor play and flaws in your skills. If I want a walk in the park, I'll play God of War II on Hard. If I want to climb a mountain, I'll play Ninja Gaiden. The new one should be no different.

I agree.

I admit I found NG hard at 1st but after i learned how to play I found it easy on hard.

You just need to learn to play NG was never hard.
