To some extent or another in life, the only spot-on, exactly fair expectation of balance people could ever harbor is simply to “get what we paid for” in any transaction.
That goes at least doubly so when testing a game’s waters, maybe exponentially more than even that when it’s a free-to-play MMO. Suppose even that it’s an engaging title with superior free content that provides constant enjoyment and all the quality aspects of a subscription. Considering how many people probably play it at a given time, how much that traffic taxes maintenance resources against the imposed demand and that not everybody so taxing those resources contributes a fair share covering the cost of everybody’s continued enjoyment….enjoy, because somebody’s spun straw into gold.
