HAHA YES!!! This is one of my favorite games on the 360. It's so funny and campy and can actually be pretty unnerving when it needs to be. It's the best $20 I've ever spent. It's also a LOT more than 20 hours of gameplay. The story itself is 20 hours. Then there's 50 side-missions and 64 cards to collect in an open world (mostly driving) that's about twice the size of San Andreas.

I'm having a hard time finding Earth Defense Force 2017. Borrowing it from a friend and it's nothing but amazing. If you ever see these two games in stores, pick them up without hesitation.

Deadly Premonition is an instabuy if you have a passing interest in survival horror or adventure type games. The story is one you will never forget!

IMO, the 5 best are Super Mario Galaxy 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Metroid Prime 3:Corruption, LittleBigPlanet, and Demon's Souls. God of War 3, Uncharted 2, and Bioshock are the runner ups.

You might as well just say IMO the best consoles are the PS, PS2, PS3 and PSP.

I'll save my judgment for SMG2 seeing as it isn't out in my country yet. Besides that are ridiculous, Metroid 3 stunk, Uncharted 2 is clearly the best game so far of this console generation and LBP isn't even a game its just a platform for making your own games.

the playstation consoles are the best,easily, but I think SMG2 is the best game this gen, hands down. I played Bioshock on the 360. I have all three consoles, it's just my favorite games happen to be on the PS3.

I wouldn't say Earth Defense Force is a "Best, Worst Game". It's just a pretty good game period. If you like co-op and just mindlessly blasting bad guys, then you'll have plenty of fun. Just because it doesn't have good graphics would I consider it bad. I would put it under the category of "Best Low-Budget Games".

even though the article was kinda going for humor i wouldn't consider anything about any of those games to be truly bad. for a "best worst game" theres more fun and creativity in something like edf than a stack of overhyped swill.

i understand what the author was going for but it should have been "best cheap games" or something.

Have you not seen or played Deadly Premonition? If a game has ever been "truly bad," that would be it. There are quite a few parts that are so bad that they are "charming" and funny, almost making it worth the $20. There is nothing, however, that is actually well done in the game. Gameplay, graphics, story, voice-acting, controls, etc. are some of the worst I've seen since 1st generation ps1 games (the bad ones).

Ps1 title Incredible Crisis springs to mind. Gameplay consisted of nothing but a collection of awful, shallow mini-games, but the madcap Japanese charm that was prevalent throughout was hard to deny. It could be pretty damn funny.

No you are definately not the only one, I thoroughly enjoyed that game. some troubling parts but one of my favorite platinums I've gotten.

And I must say how sad it is that some ppl are sooooo stupid they can't even understand the point of this article. It isn't "The best game evar" list or "The worst game evar" list

These are bad games this gen, but there is still something to enjoy about them. It's basically an article saying if you're going to play a crappy game, play these. There is nothing good about limbo, hence why it isn't on the list.

Was a well written article. To add to Alone in the Dark, the part where you had to burn down like loads of those demon hell tree root things.. So repetitive ... It was amazing- Up to that point.

Alone in the Dark for PS3 is a decent horror game. Well worth getting if you can find it cheap and like horror. I don't know about PC/360 though, I heard its not too good on those.

EDF does not deserve to be on that list at all!! It's not bad, its the way it was supposed to be. The thing was even a budget title when it launched and you got every bit of bang for your buck. its campy japanese attack of the giant monster/arcade style game that at the time the amount of stuff going on and draw distance were impressive.

even if sonic unleashed did not have that much "night levels" it would had been a correct game if if if ... they had not created eggman land ... Only a sonic fan can complete this level ... it's the prime example of WHAT NOT do with 3d platforming ... and it's long ..even at the fastest speed you'll take 14 minutes ...

Sometimes i wonder if there is any fan feed back at all concerning sonic games ..

Gears 3 graphically is awful, those character models are some of the worst I've ever seen.
