BlazBlue: Clonephantasma Review

The BlazBlue franchise has quickly become one of the biggest 2D fighters in gaming. Since its first release in 2008, the series has seen multiple sequels, spin-offs, and adaptations that continue on the mythos. The latest addition comes in the form of BlazBlue: Clonephantasma, a 3DS eShop release that replaces the 2D fighting the series is known for with chibi-sized 3D arena combat.

Review: BlazBlue: Clone Phantasma (3DS eShop) - NLife

"There's always excitement in the air when a new fighting game hits the streets. These days, especially with the upcoming release of Nintendo's premier brawler, it's easy for lesser-known releases to get swept under the rug. BlazBlue: Clone Phantasma Review | MONG

illgrillchill3525d ago

Good point. I do mention that in the review, but regardless, it's pretty non-exciting

I tend to keep that in mind nowadays with these kind of games. Or any game in general.

BlazBlue: Clone Phantasma: Such a Disappointment | Technology Tell

From the review, "In both the Story and Challenge Modes, players pick a character and go to town. Everyone else on screen is an enemy, and must be attacked until they fly off of the arena’s platform. Standard attacks can get the job done, but there is also a Drive attack, and a Super Drive that can blow a group of enemies away. However, the Super Drive also raises a Bokosuka Gauge. This increases the power of attacks, but at the cost of leaving a character stunned after Super Drives and easier to knock back from opponents’ attacks."
