Nintendo have shared a new batch of screenshots of the sixth game in the Professor Layton series, Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy.
Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy, the sixth game in the Layton series, is being released in North America this February.
Siliconera - Level 5 have been referring to Azran Legacies as Professor Layton’s final adventure, and it’s just as well. With sales declining so steeply this generation, it looks like it might be time for the Professor Layton series to see some sort of a shake-up if Level 5 intend to continue it in any form.
Developers get bored.
I, at least, am always optimistic when developers move on to something new, even if their old series was fantastic.
Granted, it doesn't always work out for the better.
(I remember Daikatana: NEVER FORGET).
Professor Layton and the Azran Legacies will be the recipient of a new puzzle a day for a full year, along with the addition of 20 standard puzzles.
