Please Kojima, don't waste your time or energy in interviews.
In the end people will judge the game, so focus on making this game, because that is all that matters.

Um, what? You do realize that being a creative director includes interviews right?! You can't possibly think otherwise.

This is new for Japanese gaming. I wonder if they'll like it. I understand if they pick up an American game and this is what u do, you are already in the mind set, but picking up a well established title like metal gear and play it ala cowboy it might be a little shock for them. Mmmmmm, time will tell.

I think open world works well for mgs. If it keeps the same gameplay elements.

It eliminates it because it's made for casuals. It's a bunch of regenerating health, bullet time when alerted, and tagging enemies. Add on to that the terrible new VAs where even David Hayter doesn't even care to play the game. He knows it has been casualized too.

Why is it that whenever I see a comment by you it's something negative? I've seen the game. I've been a hardcore Metal Gear fan since the first Solid game came out. I've owned every one the first day they launched. Ground Zeroes/Phantom Pain look amazing. They look like they're made by Hideo Kojima, which they are. Either way, you can not tell the quality of a game before playing it. So your opinion is invalid. As is mine. neither of us have had a chance to go hands-on with the game. Which means that we can not, and will not have an accurate opinion one way or another. So take the casual talk out of here, because you've not played the game at all. Therefore neither of us have ANY room to talk about how good or bad the game will be. Why be negative though? Is this just because they changed the VA? If so, Naked Snake's voice actor was supposed to change based on Big Boss' voice from MGS4.

they are making the game easier which is not what a hardcore gamer or whatever wants. The challenge of metal gear is 80% of the fun. Im not saying it needs to be like dark souls or anything, but if they put bullet time and regenerating health in then kojima better have made the other stuff 100% harder.

Then of course, there may be a harder difficulty that takes those added baby pacifiers out and boom. there we are again.

Really? The DMC remake was obviously a grab for casuals. That character, the one that's your avatar, was modeled after Twilight characters. If taking iconic characters and remaking them to look like characters in a teen romance movie isn't making the game for casuals, I don't know what is.

Goku7813860d ago

DMC remake was horrible. I would rather Capcom make three more Asura's Wraths vs that crap. Devil May Cry used to set the standard. DMC wasn't even close.

Kojima has given us NOTHING but great games. You're doing yourself an injustice if you pre-judge mgs5. Wait for it, play it, then judge.

Dragon Ball FighterZ's Rollback Update Was Too Little Too Late

Daniyal from eXputer: "Dragon Ball FighterZ was so close to a revival but ineffective communication and a dubious launch of an anticipated update botched that hope."

It's A Crime That There's No Sleeping Dogs 2 Yet

Huzaifah from eXputer: "Sleeping Dogs from the early 2010s is one of the best open-world games out there but in dire need of a resurgence."

I agree, I consider the first one a cult classic already

isarai17h ago

You say "yet" as if it's even possible anymore. United Front Games is gone, along with anyone that made this game what it is

CrimsonWing693h ago

That’s what happens when games sell poorly. And I’ve seen people wonder why people cry when a game sells badly… this is your answer.

solideagle2h ago

Majority of the time it's true but if a company/publisher is big (in terms of money), they can take a hit or 2. e.g. I am not worried about Rebirth sales as Square will make Remake 3 anyway but if FF 17 doesn't sell then Square might need to look for alternative. <-- my humble opinion

Doesn’t Microsoft own the IP now since they acquired Activision?

Sleeping Dogs was a sleeper hit back then. It was fantastic. It actually still is. Would love a sequel to this, or at least a revive of True Crime series.
