With this year looking like Xbox might have a ton of Solid games, a Game Pass windows Tablet would likely help! This year is full of GP games.

crazyCoconuts466d ago

Yeah, a Window handheld would have potential. These streaming devices running Android, not so much

Wikkid666466d ago

Windows OS handhelds are already out.

crazyCoconuts466d ago

They are but not mainstream or tuned to act like a console. I had a GPD Win 2 that was my favorite toy until the Steam Deck came along. MS could custom design the UX for a handheld like Valve did, and essentially hide windows unless you go into "desktop mode". That way your average non-techie gamer could use the handheld more like a traditional console

VenomUK466d ago

@Wikkid666 What products are you talking about?

Lore465d ago

@wikki

Did you seriously just try to list Age of empires, an annual forza, and minecraft as solid releases for your console of allegiance? I watch console war warriors from the sidelines, but your statement/hardcore list read as pretty pathetic.

If xbox fans weren’t in denial and actually complained more to Msft then maybe something would change for your publisher of choice

It's not going to happen, because many of these are streaming devices, and the dedicated hardware options are all too expensive outside of Steam Deck. The vast majority of people are better off just using their phone instead of a dedicated stream box, but even then mobile controllers aren't flying off the shelves.

And MS has enough to deal with selling their home hardware, they don't need to go out and make a dedicated handheld to sell themselves. Keep the focus on making good games and having consistent releases for the next several years, then this can become a conversation when the mobile hardware is easily available, powerful enough (technically we're already here), and the cost is within reason to push a mobile GamePass experience.

No thanks. I'll stick my Series X for Xbox games

gold_drake466d ago

im not sure if MS actually wants to do that.

they're more focused on their own hardware and bringing Gamepass to Microwaves, Fridges and the likes.

i think the xbox community wouldnt be intrested in that. just a guess rly.

I am using game pass all the time through my phone with Razer Kishi. Works great. Playing in bed before going to sleep has been a great way to relax after work and dealing with the kids.

tbagmonster465d ago

im older and playing games on the phone just feels wierd, everything is too small, now on a tablet its a whole diff story. its perfect. My old eyes just cant do the phone

Razer Edge Pro Review

The Razer Edge is an almost mythical beast with how hard it is to find in stores. Expensive and powerful - Razer let the TPReview office borrow one for a while to do an in depth review. We've benchmarked it, played games on it and tried to find a way to use it comfortably.
