Skyrim DLC – The Journey So Far

Gamer euphoria writes:

''There’s so much to do in the land of Skyrim, from defeating dragons and saving the world from destruction, to joining the Dark Brotherhood and offing folk for a living, exploring in vast caverns for treasure and beasties to kill, and even attempting lurid sex acts on your house companions. Fus Ro Dah-ing poor hapless bandits off the highest cliff in the land, simply for the lols, is also fun as well.. However, when all that is done, when you’ve truly sapped everything there is to be experienced in Bethesda’s huge title, what else is there to do? That’s where DLC comes in.''

10 Expansions That Are Better Than The Main Game

NoobFeed Editor Joshua Burt writes - It is now a mainstay of gaming that post a title's release, and DLC will accompany the game. Some of the most popular games of the last fifteen years have followed this practice. But there are some DLCs that are better than others. That stands on the shoulders of their base game, and in some cases… Surpass it. These are the 10 expansions that were better than the main game.

Damn, I feel stupid when years ago I played all the dlc for fallout 3 except the pitt. My younger ass looked at it and thought it was boring without trying I believe... Well good reason to fire up the old dusty ps3!

PhillyDillyDee672d ago

Bethesda usually does great DLC. Makes sense they are on the list 3 times.

Solid list, I'd add inFamous: Festival of Blood, although it was a standalone download, it still felt like an inFamous 2 expansion.

Blood and Wine might be the best ever though.

SullysCigar672d ago

I'd also add in Horizon The Frozen Wilds. As I started it, I wasn't sure I had the energy, but my God that was awesome. Some of the best weapons, enemies and missions in Horizon for sure.

Blood and Wine is always the reason these "best DLC of all time" list gets made in the first place nowadays.
Don't think CDPR can come any where near with any upcoming CP2077 DLC.

Silly Mammo672d ago

I have beaten Bloodborne but though i have the DLC I never played through it. For now I want to wait and see if it gets a Bluepoint remake.

anast672d ago

It's the best DLC in the genre. You are missing out.

SarwarRon672d ago

I double that. If you've liked Bloodborne, don't miss out The Old Hunters.

I skipped on Demons Souls remake, but Bloodborne would be day one. I love the game, but it is very, very jaggy and really needs a 60fps edition.

anast672d ago

I didn't like Blood and Wine too much, but the grandmaster gear is worth it.

Skyrim “Special Edition” - What’s so special about it?

"With having no internet at the moment I’ve had a chance to go back through my steam library and play games I wouldn’t normally go back and play, and Skyrim is one of them. With the new remaster, and no modding capabilities while I’m offline, what better way to experience the game than the “Vanilla Deluxe” version."

Kokyu2693d ago

"What so special about it? " you get to pay for it again......yeah

hirobrotagonist2693d ago

I got the game for free on pc and I have over 200 mods installed (many of which I converted myself from the original Skyrim). Within 120 hours of gameplay I've only had 4-5 crashes (always mod related)and it looks beautiful. Even on my monster rig the original skyrim crashed regularly with half the mods I have now and it didn't look as good or run as well. I'm more than happy with the remaster.

KingAlistair2693d ago

i have 600+ mods installed for my cousin, cleaned every dirty edit, ugrid 11 and never had a crash in 100 hours,ulta/4k/110+ fps unlocked.Looks massively better than the remaster.

hirobrotagonist2693d ago

Is there no mod limit in the SE? Also, what are your pc specs if you're getting that FPS with mods? I have a pretty beastly system and my FPS took a big dive with all the mods I'm running and I even dropped down to 1080p. Also, isn't ugrids 11 extremely unreliable and causes a ton of glitches related to NPC AI behavior?

KingAlistair2693d ago (Edited 2693d ago )

Sli asus 1080s oc,i7 5820k 4,4 ghz,32 gb ram.Its close to 600 last time i checked ugrids first at 7,9 and were stable.11 also seem stable, but i have the game for my cousin and brother.Havent seen any weird npc behaviour.Graphics mods i use are the usual such as DynDOLOD,climates of tamriel, folra overhaul, grass on steroids, parallax etc.Gonna try noble skyrim at some time.No aa,just reshade. http://www.nexusmods.com/sk...

AndreR2693d ago

It looks better than the original. It is obvious.

Perjoss2693d ago

Its full fat 4k on the pro, its pretty special looking to be honest.

KingAlistair2693d ago

For console players. For pc,2-3 out of 10 unmodded.
