Diehard GameFAN: Kirby’s Dream Collection: Special Edition Review

DHGF: In a similar move to 2010′s Super Mario All-Stars, Nintendo is celebrating twenty years of Kirby with Kirby’s Dream Collection. It brings together six of his earliest platforming exploits, ranging from the Game Boy era to the Nintendo 64. In addition, fans are treated to a timeline highlighting Kirby’s entire history, along with a few episodes of the anime and both packaging and trailers for each game. Challenge stages exclusive to this collection, combined with the soundtrack and art book bundled with the game, make for a great collector’s piece for fans of the franchise. Some of the games might be a tough sell for those that didn’t grow up with the series and the outer box doesn’t make it as “collectible” as it could be, but otherwise this collection offers something for everyone. While this might be one of the last significant releases that we’ll see out of Nintendo for the Wii, I sincerely hope characters like Samus and Donkey Kong see a similar treatment going forward.

I never played much Kirby before. But I just picked up the dream collection on the wii and these games are great!6 great games for like $20 can't beat that.Epic yarn and return to dreamland for the Wii cost more but are worth the money too.I do wish Nintendo would let us play them in color like you could on super gameboy, and GB player for Gamecube. They are probably just waiting to release those so we can buy the same game twice.Thank's Nintendo!lol

Some of the best music in gaming.

Squeak squad has some solid tracks, although I'm only on world 3 or 4 so I have yet to hear it all.

Top games of 2012- Gamemuse.net

So we are right at the end of 2012, and what a year it has been for gaming, with the start of the new generation of home consoles with the release of the Wii U, 3DS outselling the Vita, the final demise of the DS and a host of great games. However, which one do we think was the best release this year? Now were not accounting for sales of games, which would make Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and AC3 top our lists, were looking at innovative gameplay, a game that for us, was just better than anything else out there.
