Interesting how apart from fps, most multi platform games sells almost as good on ps3 than x360.
Considering x360 leads ps3 by 16 million out there, you can understand publishers won,t be abandoning playstation brand anytime soon.

Funny how all m$ fanboy always claim that people who bought a ps3 in NA was only to watch blueray videos.

Yeah PS3 is challenging Xbox360, atleast in the sportsgames.
I actually expected RE6 to have sold more on PS3, since I(and alot of others) link Resident Evil as an playstation game, but 360 outsold PS3 by 40%.
Borderlands 2 sold ALOT less, on PS3, than i expected compared to the 360, 360 sold 4 times the number of PS3.

well when you total in Japan for RE6 the ps3 version is leading worldwide.

Sells almost as good? I beg to differ...

The only game in the top 30 list where the sales are close is Fifa.. Even if we ignore FPS games (Borderlands 2: 127% better sales), we are left with:
RE5: 56% better sales
NBA 2K13: 24% better sales
Madden: 22% better sales

Yes, it is possible that some fanboys made ridiculous claims in the past about PS3 being bought mainly as a Blueray player (well, perhaps it was accurate for some people at one point. But today a blueray player can be bought for less than half the price of a PS3).

But looking at these charts saying that sales are close for games like RE5 because the PS3 has a smaller install base, is just as ridiculous as someone saying that sales for RE5 are close in Japan because the Xbox has a negligible install base there...

And publishers don't care if sales are "close", they only care if they are enough to justify launching the game on an additional platform. If the sales are good enough to cover the costs - that all that matters.

xbox rules the US charts ALL the time... PS3 has some footing but xbox has double whatever they do roughly... However, PS name is still strong in this industry world wide.. Cant wait for the rest of the exclusives to release
