Jon Murphy, Konami's European team leader for PES, has said that while there was a "period of dissatisfaction" with PES for good reason, now it's because EA marketing has 'duped us'.
The PES franchise hasn't been "given proper respect" for returning to quality, said Murphy, because "so many have bought" into EA's PR. Also EA 'copy' the PES formula.
Games Asylum: "Outdated football games are a common sight when scouring jumble sales, car boots and charity shops for bargain price video games. Entire shelves filled with decade-old FIFA and PES games spread across a dozen formats. Often they end up in bargain bins, sitting alongside unwanted celebrity fitness DVDs and seemingly random TV show box sets. But here’s the thing. Not all football games gathering dust in the likes of Oxfam are in fact worthless."
Just who is buying FIFA 13 on Wii U? We may never know, but there are more people buying that than there are Bayonetta 2 and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric.
are seriously trying to downplay Bayonetta 2 with sales
In Fails of the Weak #210, Jack and Geoff bring you fails in Sniper Elite 3, FIFA 13, Sportsfriends, Destiny, Halo: Reach, and FIFA 14.
PES 11 and 12 are way better than Fifa 11 and 12
I've bin playin' PES on PS2 n PS3 and The funniest thing is that i stopped playing Fifa games on PS1 n never played even one on PS2. I got hold of Fifa 11 and 12 on PS3 i played it against people who've been playin' Fifa games like 4ever, i lost the first 5 games and After that i stated whippin' ppl till i got bored n never lost again and the same guys who are Fifas fans can't even win one game on PES, they got murdered flawlesly. Fifa is for kids
Murphy does raise good points but i just think PES are to blame for the position they are in. I play on both footy games and although i feel PES has good gameplay and AI, FIFA just delivers the full package including no just licenses but ultimate team, impact engine and fluid animation. P.S PES fans pls dont kill me for saying this
