y all ps3 fans they have low rate of bubbles?? and all the 360 fans have 5 and above bubbles?
i think the 360 is starting a war on us! they dont want our voice to be heard just like the "American media" with those people or countries who they say they are bla bla bla!!

i think we should give bubbles to all ps3 fans at least till 5 bubbles!!
and subtract bubbles from the 360 fans like what they do to us and we dont even realise it!!!

the reason why they reduce our bubbles is because they're scared of the truth about us praising the PS3 and praise the 360 (most of them M$ minions), hoping to put off would be PS3 buyers, without the effort of making an intelligent argument. I will do my bit to make sure for PS3 owners by adding a bubble for them (providing that the facts are correct and they make a reasonable intelligent comment), as for xbots who constantly slate off the PS3 without cause to do so they'll be getting less bubble from me

last generation $299 was the perfect starting price point...this generation, for all that you get with the package, $399 is the new $299...Wii owners start at about $310 with an extra controller anyways...if I were buying a Wii, I would stop and really have to think twice with a $399 PS3 sitting beside it...when the PS3 is $299, man, people better watch out! but at $399 the PS3 will move...I, and many others, purchased the PSP (Gigapack) for $299 and that was a handheld...and purchased my 360 at $399...it's a really great price for what's under the hood of the PS3...so sitting by some great games...and don't say they don't have great games coming...UT3, Uncharted, and Ratchet sound ace...a Holiday 07 PS3 looks rather tempting for PlayStation fans, curious 360 owners, movie buffs, and PS2 upgraders...mass market is around the corner...if it isn't here already...watch this space...

dude i bought a 360 and ps3 on launch days respectively...and do you see people complaining about this? NO...its like and ipod and iphone...the ipod from 5 years is nowhere as slick and beautiful as the ones available now...do I feel cheated because Apple decided to improve and lower the price of their product, NOOOO, in fact, I upgraded, in fact I'd upgrade to an elite 360 just for the HDD and the HDMI...but then again I don't feel cheated by MS...in fact, if anyone should feel cheated are those poor souls that bought and Xbox 360 core...

Everybody gets 3 year warranty. Even the first 360 bought. That's almost two years ago and another year to go on your warranty then.

Synex, the 360 already sold about 12 mln. The PS3 sold about 4.5 mln. The 360 is outselling the PS3 in USA and Europe month after month. So tell me. If the 360 is selling not more then 20 mln. this gen, the PS3 won't sell more then 10 mln.

Really. The 360 will have sold 20 million before the PS3 has reached 10 mln. dude

I don't feel done over by Sony because I knew when I bought the PS3 that I had made the right decision and that the price would always be high to become an early adopter of any new console. All consoles come down in price over time, that's just the way of life.

You have to make some differences in those things you say:

A HDMI port isn't needed, especially not if you don't have a larger then 42 inch HDTV, because on average 32 inch models you won't notice for sure. HDMI gives washed out colours compared to component.

I use VGA and Component, VGA looks a tad sharper then component, but also less vibrant colours.

On the other hand, 200 dollars/euro off a price of total 600 dollars/euro in 6 months or about 11 months... it's a freaking one third of its total price... 33% in less then a year. Normally a console drops that sharp in price not untill it's 2nd year of live.

It's a clear sign things aren't going like Sony planned. They're getting pretty desperate.

It goes to show how smart you are.
Fact 1: Hdmi is clearly superior to VGA when extensively tested on most 1080p tv,s the majority did not accept 1080p signals from the Hd dvd via VGA so had to be downscaled. (check december issue of what Hifi)
Fact 2: If VGA is better why would NVIDIA put hdmi on their latest graphics card?

@felman: No, no, no. How many times does this need to be said? The ps2 had a cpu (EE) and a gpu (Graphics synthesizer).

US 60gb ps3's had both the EE and the GS. Euro ps3's and 80gb ps3's only had the GS, software emulated the EE.

This 40gb ps3 will probably remove the GS (which will probably save around $20 in manufacturing costs) and thus BC will be gone. Because the GS is a b!tch to emulate with software, Sony programmers would pull their hair out trying to emulate the GS with software.
