2K: No motion controls in BS2, but maybe in series future

With Sony's motion controller hitting early next spring, a lot of the peripheral's launching line up is shrouded in mystery. While early adopters of Sony's motion tech will be treated to reimagined versions of LittleBigPlanet and Resident Evil 5, they certainly won't be playing BioShock 2 with any waggle action. 2K Marin has confirmed that the newest entry into the BioShock franchise will be devoid of any motion controlled gimmicks, but did mention that it could be an option for future games in the series.

Not against motion controls, per say, but the way he makes it sound... I don't want a game that my grandma is playing.

I wouldn't mind if there was some minor motion control elements, but if it uses the motion controller all the time for gimmicky stuff, I'd be pissed.

I dont want motion controls if I wanted it I would have got a wii , I dont want to play Gears of War, uncharted, or any other games on the ps3 or 360 waveing my arms around. I play games to relax and enjoy sitting down and taking in the experience, I do hope they make it optional otherwise this will be the end of gameing for me and prolly lots of other gamers.

I'll say the same thing I said about Wii motion control - if it's done tastefully, great. If there's no way to do it proper, DON'T try to force it.

For FPS' motion controllers are pretty spot on, for anything else they kinda fail at, except RTS' and the obvious point 'n' click adventure games. Bascially all the stuff PC's are good at.

6 - Patches
No doubt developers will have the Playmotes specs by now to implement in the future patches so we can use the new controller ... especially aiming in shooters like MAG and BFBC2 and R3.
