LA Noire concept art looks good, means nothing

There are a few great signs that something is actually vaporware. The most prominent sign is usually a game never actually having a release date, but always being hinted at as being released sometime within the next year. That's one check for L.A. Noire as we've been putting it on most anticipated lists since its announcement way back in 2006. The Rockstar published/Team Bondi developed game also lacks a confirmed console (though it is rumored as a PS3 exclusive), which is yet another sign of vaporware, by the way. So that's two strikes.

Another strong sign of vaporware is after three years of development a game hasn't shown off any gameplay, but concept art keeps cropping up. Oh, and here Destructoid has strike three for L.A. Noire. Superannuation has discovered some pretty cool looking concept art for L.A. Noire. It looks nice, but you know what it isn't? It isn't proof that a game exists and thus, and Destructoid knows this is a bold move, Destructoid declares L.A. Noire the new Duke Nukem. Nice art though, really.

Certainly does seem very odd but why , since there's no confirmed platform and we all thought it was a multi, is this just in the PS3 section-it isn't just PS3 owners who were interested in this game IIRC.

The game was originally a PS3 exclusive, though as time has gone by there have been ramblings thats its not multi platform.

I got hold of Team Biondi and they said it is up to Rockstar as to when new information will be published. They also said the title was published by Rockstar themselves so even less reason to assume it is an exclusive, though not concrete enough.

Anyways it seemed like an interesting GTA esque title, hopefully it sees a soon release.

2 - i didn't think that concept art looked very good........
besides, mafia 2 is coming in early 2010 and it looks outstanding. the devs should have been giving more info out on this game (LAN) the last couple of years. i'd forgotten all aboutit since i've seen so much more for mafia 2. at this point; the only thing that can redeem LA Noire is some in-game footage. it's too late for them to start giving little bits of info. they need to show something spectacular.
