Have to disagree about the Bioshock one as it really have more to do with the movie Metropolis given the art deco references in the game.

Other than that good list.

FF7?
Uncharted?
L4D?

And how the hell did Res2 make this list? If anything that game reminded me of ID4, not predator.

2 - Great list!
I disagree with some, but overall it's a good list. I'd have to say, though, and MGS4 had the most cinematic experience in any game I've ever played. I hope to see a lot more games like that in the future that set an atmosphere and tone like MGS4 did.

3 - No Heavenly Sword?
I'm sorry, but a list of "Most Cinimatic Gaming Moments" without HS is just... well you know.

This seems like a list of games that reminded someone of a move. Not a "Top List."

Agreed. A helluva lot of the game was really cinematic. The camera direction in the cutscenes was some of the best I have seen.

Hell yeah I will never forget the part at the end against the final boss. That was just crazy, bodies flying everywhere haha(resembles LOTR, 300 & maybe Troy). This list is good, it shows how games & movies can relate to one another & if done right can produce a great experience. There's a lot of epic moments but at least some of them were brought up in this article. Better than nothing.

4 - That was a really good read...
I'm not a big fan of the 15 pages but it was well worth the clicks.

7 - A few to add to the list
The ending of Metal Gear IV: Snake and the microwave tunnel

Final Fantasy X: Yuna & Tidus in the water & also the good bye scene

Heavenly Sword: pretty much the whole thing

Mass Effect: Battle for the center

Halo: Halo under construction

Uncharted: Jeep chase

Star Wars Force Unleashed: Bringing down the Star Destroyer

Final Fantasy Crisis Core: The death of a soldier (you know who I'm talking about)

Also a throw away
Empires: Total War, watching over 5,000 soldiers and cannons shooting at each other

World of Warcraft: Lich King taking the throne

You know, I think I might be the only one who didn't think that Yuna and Tidus saying goodbye was very sad. I've heard people say they cried hard in that piece. It was sad but not as sad as people make it seem.

What was sad (not sad enough to cry but it was sad) was after that scene, when Yuna's whistling at the ocean. Now that part's sad.

That game is a fun RPG, but is a farrrrrr stretch from being cinematic.

Sometimes you have to learn to share, just like sharing the controller with friends. There are other consoles than just the PS.

I would have put the intro for L4D in there.
It had the look and feel of a intense scene about to kick off in a zombie movie, and then delivered.
Which was by design and it definately borrowed elements from Dawn of the Dead among others.

It was a interesting read though.

Warhawk.
I've personally & have seen people do some crazy stuff in Warhawk. Especially being chased by a Warhawk in the Jeep with a gunner during CTF.

12 - It was cool
seeing comparisons between the games and movies that inspired them. RE4's knife fight reminded me more of the movie "The Hunted" with Tommy Lee Jones and Benicio Del Toro than the Matrix.
