It even lists Dissidia: Final Fantasy for the DS!

Handhelds are getting the better end of the stick in terms of RPGs lately. Slowly getting better for home consoles though

I wish more would come to the consoles since I'm barely on the go and never have a chance to play my handhelds that often.

Nothing wrong with playing your handheld at home. Specially when they have a boat load of games one should play ^^

When I'm at home, I'd rather be playing on a surround sound system with my HDTV. Only time I play my handhelds outside of reviews is on trips out to Cali to meet devs and conferences.

I just had a phenomonal buisness idea.

"Play your DS games on the Wii."

Just like GBA to the Gamecube. The only question is, how do you fit 2 screens on 1 TV? Questions, questions...

It would be cool if they figured out how to play DS games from the Wii. At least PSP slim has the video out plug.

As far as playing on a HDTV I have one of those as well but when I'm done with the RPGs I have for the consoles and I'm wanting to play more as in The World Ends With You, Crisis Core, Contact, Tactics A2, Rings of Fate, Sonic Chronicles, and many more I'd take the game over the size of the screen

3.5 - Yeah
DAMN I wish I worked for Nintendo! If I worked for Nintendo then that would've been made at the Wii launch!! >_<

But yeah I've always prefered handhelds over consoles. When I was 5 it was Game Boy over Super Nintendo. Then it was GBA over Gamecube. And now it's DS and PSP over Wii. The games just seem to be BETTER on handhelds!

I bought two this year for my PSP. Crisis Core and Disgaea Afternoon of Darkness. I have a few more though.

Is Jeanne D'Arc any good? Thinking about getting that one also.

Jeanne D'Arc is pretty awesome. Characters are all great. The story is a little boring at first, but it gets interesting and enjoyable after a while. The bad thing is that it lacks depth compared to Final Fantasy Tactics.

4.3 - That game is freaking awesome
I love it!!! but it ended too soon (65 hours). I kept wanting more.
You will love it. It is really really good. I cannot overemphasize how good this game is. It is really that good. Take my word for it.

I enjoyed FFT remake more than Jeanne D'Arc (even though I did played it before on the PS1), but still, Jeanne D'Arc had an awesome story, and high production value cut scenes, the special transformation system could turn what seams a disparate battle completely into your hand in one turn only.

It's not the best SRPG out there, but it's not something you want to miss, a great game, that's for sure.

Persona 4 FTW! Also looking forward to Valkyria Chronicles, Infinte Undiscovery and Disgaea 3. Why is Dissidia listed under DS?

it's listed there since it's a mistake that needs to be fixed. I e-mailed the editor to let them know.

I love playing RPG's on the handheld, especially SRPG's that don't rely so much on graphics/sound to impress. It's much easier playing them in bed or when I'm supposed to be working (ahem) or out of the house. Don't get me wrong, some RPG's work better on the console, so there is a mix.

Im playing this game called Brave Story: New Traveler on the psp , and it rocks! At first its boring, and none of it makes sense. I was actually regretting on even renting it from gamefly, but as soon as you learn some spells you really get the magical feeling from it. The graphics are comparable to crisis core, though I must say that the cg in crisis core is spectacular. But anyways, if you love traditional Rpg's you should definitely try out Brave Story.. Its a great game.

7.1 - Just to say!
There's a fantastic Brave Story anime, I saw it at Annecy Animation Festival. The whole franchise is based on a series of novels, apparently.

9 - >_<
SOMEONE wanna tell Macho Man what all this is about? I know, yeah, I KNOW them RPGs are on the horizon for the consoles but maybe they ought to take the resources that they're wasting dilly dallying on the handhelds like Mean Gene Okerlund or something.... Macho Man is not impressed, WE WANT THEM NOW. DIG IT!

Dammit, I bought my PSP for handheld platformers and action/adventures. Oh well. Good for PSP though.

Yeah handhelds get most of the good RPG's. PSP and DS own in that area. PS3 is getting 2 good ones in a couple months which is great. The 360 has been a behemoth with RPG's lately, but very few of them interest me. Lost Odyssey and Eternal Sonata are great. ES is coming to PS3 this year too though. So that leaves LO, which I still want. :(
