Left 4 Dead coming to PS3, ported by EA

The OPM, Official Playstation Magazine, has today revealed in its latest issue that Left 4 Dead will indeed be coming to Playstation3. It will be ported, once again, by EA. Quote:

"Valve's survival horror game Left 4 Dead is coming to PS3, but EA will be taking on development duties in-house."

The Orange Box PS3 has been one catastrophic port. For these past 8 months, PS3 gamers have repeatedly expressed their disgust and anger towards both EA and VALVE, asking for a fix. Even a petition started by Mike Seedon was published on this website: http://orangeboxpetition.com/

I played the orange box on PS3 and it wasn't that bad. The load times were longer on Portal, but i only noticed that it was because there was a comparison between the PS3 and 360 version. The Half life games ran fine and I never tried the original Half Life 2 except the beginning and that ran fine.

Left 4 Dead is still a rental. The game looks like crap cause it's running on the old and obsolete Half Life 2 ep 1 engine.

It's probably a timed exclusive for the PC and 360. I'm gonna play it once and return it. The concept of coop games is really good on paper, but when you actually play it's not really much fun because the AI shooters suck. Left 4 Dead doesn't seem to do much of anything different.

The truth is the PS3 is making EA a buttload of money mainly because it's growing fast and bluerays are much more expensive than a dvd-9.

So why would they not want to make this game in to a huge cash cow?

Sony have stated that they don't pay for 3rd party games so this is EA rubbing Sonys back while so EA can get it's back rubbed in return.

I bet 50 miljon that Sony dosn't even want this game on it's PS3 mainly because EA and valve suck ass on developing on the Cell processor, but who cares when they do it for free?

i get where your coming from, but ps3 users not buying certain multi-plats only helps the 360. I know it sucks either way, but the only reason 360 get royal treatment is because its perceived to bring in a bigger cash flow.A lot of 360 owners buy games they dont even like to support their system, i have a lot of dumb friends who do so. Helloooo-hoooo~? What in the world is wrong with you? EA is like, the most bestestest developer in the world! Their ports, or as they are actually called, wonders, are known for their superb top-nodge quality.

Look at The Orange Box. They took games that were known for running far too good and had their best developers working on them to make them challenging again. Everybody and their kids can finish a game running at constant 60FPS. Besides, slowdowns aren't a problem, they are a feature. Just look at PoP: Sands of Time.

I know I am. Im not blind. I saw how fun this game could be during the e3 demo's last year and this year. Plus I love zombies, and these zombies are coming from everywhere. The AI director that they are using is nuts. You never see the same enemies in the same location because of the AI director.

13.1 - Its kind of like Bioshock

When Bioshock used to be a 360 exclusive, fanboys were screaming about how amazing it was. Right after it was announced to be coming to the PS3, it was just a mediocre shooter with no replay value. 360 fans used to be excited for left 4 dead. Now their going to say its the worst game ever made or something. I'm not really excited for this game. But its still good its coming to the PS3. 360 doesn't have many exclusives any more. The only game I would want from the 360 lineup is fable 2. But thats going to be on the pc in like 5 months from the 360 release.

But, I don't think this games going to be any good. It just doesn't look that great. I think its time for a new game engine. Lets get rid of the source engine and get something new! Valve could make the source 2 perhaps? Pretty funny, now the 360 is losing all its exclusives. Oh well, serves them right for making that awful Mii rip off. cheesy Avatars haha, what a joke.

PS3 has the only exclusive that are worth a shiit. Too Human? Alan Wake? who is really going to buy a console for those titles? Its just like Mass Effect all over again. Huge hype, but no one cares.

Seriously I couldn't care if it came or not but you gotta ask why EA would make a 360 exclusive when money could me made on the PS3? All third-party games that aren't produced by Sony or Microsoft are going to be on both consoles eventually. Its the nature of the gaming business nowadays. Exclusivity cuts out like half of your fanbase

Simple one of the most hypocritical, delusional comments I've ever seen. Are you aware that this so called misinformation tactic has been MS's prime tool since PS3's launch?

Sorry but SONY reps do not blab to the media even a small fraction of the degree that MS has, and does to this day. When any piece of big SONY or PS3 related news comes out or is imminent, there is always Shane Kim or Aaron Greenburgh putting out some statements about how SONY is lacking, MS's has the best products and services, spinning numbers, ignoring or lying about facts and statistics, etc etc.

What is so wrong about it is that these PR releases always just so happen to coincide with big PS3 news, although to many who are ignorant...this timing always happens to be convenient "coincidence".

Do not attempt to lie about what I have stated. Doing so will only make you appear more foolish than you have already done to yourself. Don't dig your own hole deeper.
